Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

I disagree.
Yeah, at this point, he's played it as he should. If he goes elsewhere, the only blunder will be from Cavs fans for getting their hopes up. It's not LeBron's job to protect Cavs fans fragile little egos. Cautious optimism is fine, but I see people all over the place already assuming he's coming back when nothing concrete is indicating it. It's all media driven.

Shit just got real, Zeller, Karasev, Jack and our 2016 1st rounder is gone (Top 10 protected til 2019)

Over 24 million in cap space so we got a max slot for LeBron open along with a lil something to sign a couple low level guys and/or some wiggle room in any Kevin Love trade to match up salaries.

Hey Pat... that meeting later today is to tell you he gone.

Okay, I have been skeptical even after all that's been floating around this week until right now. I'm still not 100% convinced LBJ is coming back but at least now I think there is a good possibility.
An awful lot seems to be pointing that way, but it is hard to discern how much of this "smoke" is legit, and how much of it is the media machine trying to drum up page views. Either way, as a hardened Cleveland fan, I refuse to get excited about anything until the ink is dry on a contract.

I find it hard to believe that they would be making moves like this without something in the works. I'm surprised they moved Zeller since that leaves Andy and Brendan Haywood's corpse to play C unless Thompson is spending the summer bulking up. If they don't sign Lebron none of this is going to make any sense. Don't the Celtics have enough bigs?

Well, Jack was a salary drain, so I'd think they'd move him if they could regardless. Zeller is a dime a dozen guy, so he's easily replaceable. They might be making this move to clear the books in case LeBron decides to come home, but I don't read it as indicating he's already decided.

Agreed. Zeller was developing into a nice role player, IMO.

Oh wait... the Cavs did get something from the Nets... draft rights for about 3 euroes (Karaman/Drejer/Bavcic)
not gonna put a lot of work into this.. but
Ilkan Karaman-frafted by 2012 Nets; 6'10 236 PF; plays for Turkey; a bull but still considered raw for NBA
Johan Christian Drejer-drafted 2004 by Nets; may be retired already due to injury; played for Florida; had rep issues too
Edin Bavcic-drafted 2006 by 76s; rights traded to Nets in Jan'14; 6'11 230 PF/c Serbia; same agent as Karaman

Generally in times like this, Adrian Wojnarowski is the best follow. Tons of insight and very reliable.
I don't doubt he is respected, but his last tweet shows he doesn't know dick any more than anyone else does

Here's concern for Cavs - and everyone else pursuing James. Everything's been filtered thru his agent, Rich Paul. No one's getting to James.
