Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Re: In addition, the Cavs will begin aggressively looking to trade Bynum, sources told ESPN.com.
After missing all of last season with knee injuries, Bynum has returned to play in 24 games (19 starts) and average 8.6 points and 5.3 rebounds. He's shooting just 42 percent from the floor.
Bynum has admitted on several occasions that he's struggled mentally with learning to play with less mobility and in pain with his knees.
Because of his flexible contract and that he's proven he can play again, Bynum could have some suitors in the trade market.

Lot's of luck there, i.e. trying to trade him.

His contract is a very good salary dump.

not that any one cares I just find the [Mark May]show with the Cavs as funny as the Browns... Chris Grant is a moron of a GM.... to bad we let him waste a ton of draft picks before realizing it.

Agreed. At this point in time the Cavs need to trade Bynum and Sacramento's pick for Gasol. That should work. Sacramento's pick will never be a 1st rounder so why not.

No, you disagree, because that's what Grant essentially wants to do. (Well, he's offering a secound rounder, but, well... in theory that's what you're suggesting here, or at least you let the Lakers save face and say, "Maybe you'll get a 1st").

Either the Lakers want to dump Gasol's contract or they don't, either they want to get out paying the luxury tax... or they don't. The Cavs don't need to give them Dion Waiters as a parting gift.

I agree Waiters shouldn't be included... the talk of Waiters just reminded me of yet another wasted draft pick...

Well, I'm not so sure about that quite yet. To be fair the early returns are in your favor... Since his temper tantrum, I've watched a few games, he's at least making some effort where he didn't always before, on D and playing within the offense... still pretty young, so, I'm not sure its a done deal wasted pick yet.

I for one will be happy when this whole Bynum for Gasol bullshit ends...just cut Bynum and move on...if you can get Bynum for Gasol and a low 2nd fine...but no more beyond that...to me there is no way in hell Gasol signs with cleveland in the offseason and i dont think he would have much desire to play for a team fighting for the 12th spot in the east right now...plus his best position is PF and we already got 50 of them...what we need to be doing is positioning for another lottery pick as much as dan gilbert hates the idea...i think we start the firesale soon...get rid of AV, get rid of jack, see if you can get anything for gee and clark (doubt it)...as bad as Bennet has been he needs more PT...he may be one of the biggest busts in decades but we at least need to find out sooner then later...trading AV will help that out, hes not a SF, stop mike brown plez...

great so now if we make the 8th seed of the playoffs and get smoked by Miami we will have an even worse draft spot...and then deng leaves in the offseason...at least we got rid of that pesky sacramento draft pick...Gilberts hands are all over this
