Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

I don't know if you read the story in the ABJ that I posted a link to, but the Cavs could make some huge strides in the next year. They could trade Jamison's expiring contract to another team who would want to unload a better player with a longer contract. If Sacramento makes the playoffs we get their first round pick. The writer felt, we could trade Andy to a contender for another first round pick in a draft deep with talent.

Tonight; it's go Pistons

Fun article to read. It's going to be an interesting year to see how the team "develops" and how many current pieces are traded to make moves for next season. The next draft class is, potentially, about as deep in recent memory as any.

Even without trades and Sacramento still sucking, 2012 will look like:

First round, probably top 5
Second round, their own top 5 and the Hornets 2nd (probably pretty high)

2013:

Their own, probably still high.
Miami's first, likely high.
Sacramento's first (top 13 protected)

Their own second, pretty high.
Orlando's second, probably high since this will be after Howard leaves.

Not with the top five pick, but I would love for the Cavs later in the draft, to end up with William Buford.

IMO, he'll go mid 1st round. He could potentially land in CLE. I'd love to see them draft Perry Jones III from Baylor. Dude is a beast.

I can see Buford dropping to the 2nd round where they can take a shot at him.

Just give me either Drummond or Barnes in the first and everything after that
is just a bonus.

Then in 2013, use the 3 first rounders to find a sg, sf and depth(if Drummond in 2012).

I love how well Anderson Varajao and Kyrie Irving are playing together right now! 44-34 Cavs!

90% of Andy's offensive game is pick and roll. Matching him up with a top of the line PG makes him a much better weapon. I still think they need to move him if someone is willing to give up a 1st round pick for him.

Only because next year's draft is SO stacked. Otherwise, I'd gladly pass on any offer involving picks.

Omri Casspi hasn't looked too bad, either.
