Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

The Cavs are the new Clippers.

Just awful.

5 and 30? Hell yeah. Then trade back up near 10-13 somewhere with those extra picks. Len probably there at 5.

I think they take Noel though.
Len goes #5 to Phoenix. Maybe the trade happens after all. That's the only thing that can explain the Cavs' inexplicable selection.

Wow. Scheffler must have had some inside info. On Sportscenter just prior to the draft he shocked everyone on the show by saying Bennett was the best player in the draft and should be drafted first.

Very interesting.

Just saw a tidbit on the ticker that Howard isnt expected to return to LA. Cleveland maybe taking a run at him? Don't know. Maybe they are going to make a real run at Oden and they think he's healthy.

Tons of surprises tonight. I pretty much hate the NBA but this draft is pretty fun. LOL

I actually like both the picks for them. Now, if they can get somebody to clean this crap league up and make the game watchable again once [strike]Vince McMahon[/strike] Darth Stern retires, maybe I'll start watching again.

I like the pick. I've always thought Bennett had the best upside in this draft. It's not like they passed on a sure thing.

Exactly... The only thing is I am shocked they picked Bennet. Is he horrible? the top 6 guys in this draft are a total crapshoot, so I don't hate the pick.

Just shocked since he is an undersized PF. Thought the Cavs like TT, maybe not? Or he is a trade piece? That's really the only odd thing... is how he fits with our current lineup and how will Mike Brown screw it up :wink2:

While both Bennett and TT are PFs they have different skill sets. With that being said, the Cavs are not finished making some moves in FA or via trade.

Some will make the argument that Bennett was drafted to play swing but he reminds me more of David West at Indiana with a better outside game and ball handling skills.

I was telling my buddies before the pick that it was probably going to be someone that we never expected and at least I was right. I'm shocked, but I'm not going to say anything negative since Bennett would probably make me look like an idiot when he starts putting up 20 and 10 a night.

To me it seems like they are going to have to start him at the 3 in a standard lineup and move him over to the 4 when they go small with Irving, Waiters, Karasev, and TT/Andy.

This draft really filled the Cavs need for players that can score, but it is putting a ton of pressure on Mike Brown to get all of these offensive players to play hard-nose defense.

They need to get Zeller, TT, and Irving in the weight room this off season to bulk them up so they can stay healthy (Irving) or battle inside at the 5 (Zeller and TT).

With all of these young players summer league should be fun to watch.

Miles should be packing his bags if he wasn't already.
