Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

If one of the three centers are not available, I'd surely love to
get Porter. Sure, we can't expect 47% from NBA three, but he's made
very nice shooting progress from year one to two. While his overall shooting
is a little down, his three % was like 23 last year. I like seeing his ft shooting jump from 70-77%. I agree with those that say he'll be a fine pro. Nice all
around game. He could use a little meat on his bones, though.

Ideally, one of Noel, Len or Zeller would be there with the first pick and the
Lakers sneak into the playoffs and give the Cavs pick #15. Maybe they can
pick up Poythress in that spot.

Either way, I think Grant has shown he knows what he's doing, even if it
pisses alot of fans off. It's hard to argue with what he's done since becoming the GM.

I agree his 3 point % is misleading. But I don't think he's gonna turn into Larry Nance who couldn't shoot a 3 for his life.

What's Larry Nance got to do with this guy? Does he drag race on the side or something? Point is, I don't see this kid getting a couple thousand blocks in his career either... nothing against him but, yeah, not exactly the same kind of player.

Free throw percentage to three point percentage is actually one of the best and most used statistics by GM's to determine if a guy is a legitimate "bulls-eye" shooter, or someone who is just hot and having a flash in the pan season. Think about the best 3 point shooters in the game:

JJ Redick
Ray Allen
Kyle Korver
Steve Nash

Or past great shooters:

Reggie Miller
Mark Price
Jeff Horncek
Mitch Richmond

All guys who hovered around 86 - 90% FT%. It's a sign of a consistent and pure stroke. I'm not knocking Otto because I think he'll be a great pro and think he'd make a great Cavalier, but his 47% three point percentage is misleading, IMO. His shooting stroke is additional evidence.

brad beal shot 76.9% from the foul line at UF last year.

Race? Lol...seriously?

I was just comparing a potential future Cavalier SF to an old one. In the sense that, Nance couldn't shoot threes. But Porter clearly can, despite some believing he can't.

In what way was Nance a SF? I suppose if you had Hot Rod Williams and him and Daugherty on the court together, by default someone would have to be that, I guess... kinda. Again, not the same kind of player.

I might have an extra. 6 of us. 2 are dating. I'll see if one
Feels like coughing up the extra.

Kyrie just hit the floor for warm ups, he's thin as [Mark May]. Get the
Kid a sandwich.
That would be awesome man.

Yeah he's a little skinny. Definitely needs to work out some this off season.
