CLEVELAND BROWNS VS PITTSBURGH STEELERS (OFFICIAL GAME THREAD)

Embarrassing loss. But, I can still laugh when all those Pittsburgh smiles turn to frowns when they make their yearly early exit from the playoffs.

The Browns may suck, and have so since coming back, but they have just as many Super Bowl wins as Pittsburgh since I was born. So, I don't feel too bad. We'll get it back one of these years.

A team has to be in the playoffs a lot to have an annual playoff exit.

The Brownies can only dream of something like that.

The Steelers have 5 SB appearences with 4 wins and absolutely OWN the browns since I was born so I'm not sure exactly what it is the Browns will get back.

Success for them is the deviation not the norm.

I am eternally optimistic when it comes to my Brownies... that 2006 starts the New Age... Brownies will have $30 million in cap space... we should be able to fix lots of woes with $30M... and we don't have Butch Davis to screw it up... couple this with, at worst, a decent draft.. and adding back a TE and a WR that hopefully will finally be worthwhile on the low side and all world on the upside... and we should be, at least, competitive again...

Here's an interesting point... in looking at the standings today.. the Brownies are in the MIDDLE of the pack !!!
at 5-10 they could still be picking 12th out of 30 !!!
wonder what number Robbie Carpenter wants...

Wow they fucking sucked today, plain and simple. They came out and didnt even look ready to play, while Pittsburgh was trying to kill them. What a fucking embarresment to the rivalry and the entire city. They didnt even show up. We've hung with the Colts, Bengals, and Jaguars, but we got smashed by the Steelers? This team just didnt even show up and didnt even want the win.

The deck was stacked...
Rookie QB and backup center making the calls... bring on the dogs...
this was an easy game plan.. I would have sent everyone including the water boy and ankle taper if I was def coord

You sure you wouldn't have just sent the two oldest kids to do it? :wink2:

I have not seen a single highlight of the game, but losing in a blowout to your biggest rival at home is unacceptable. RAC better be peeling the paint off the walls this week in Berea.

I just read this on foxsports.com .. game preview... can I ding the writer??

"The Steelers are mistaken if they think they are going to find a Browns team just going through the motions on Christmas Eve in Cleveland Browns Stadium."

What an ass kicking. I love it. The 3 RB's get touchdowns, Big Ben and Ward have a big day, and the former Brown Stain Quincy Morgan scores a TD.

I just can't understand being able to work up any animosity towards such a pathetic franchise. Certainly it's turning to apathy by now. It is so one-sided.

A look at the Browns last 20 years of first round picks and regular season records and....well I just don't get it.

It's like "I fucking hate the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, they suck"

:(

Are you fucking kidding me. You Brown fans are hilarious. The Browns didn't show up and embarrassed themselves and I loved it just like any Steeler fan. Their pathetic play hasn't lessened my hatred for them that's for sure. I hate the Browns more than anything just like I hate scUM more than anything. If scUM every went through a bad stretch that will not lessen my hatred of them.

I would rather be in the playoffs or in the playoff hunt much of the season than not have a team for 3 years and only have 2 playoff appearances since 1990.

I love the Browns, but I hope they go nowhere near Bobby. I'd hate to see him become the next victim of the first round curse.

Uhh... me too. However, by the time the Browns get it back (and they fucking better before I die), I'm hoping the Steelers will continue to blow it in the playoffs. That way, the Browns will have a chance to win a Super Bowl before the Steelers in my lifetime.

After a loss like todays, that's my only saving grace. I hate the Steelers more than Michigan, and they may be sacrilege, but it's true. I don't have to deal with Michigan fans on a weekly basis like Steeler fans.

The Steelers make it easy to be happy for the Bengals.

Not sure who took a worse beating, the Browns or the ignorant drunk that ran on the field.

Don't rag on that "ignorant drunk." I was at the game today, and that guy had the most yards of any person on the field today wearing Brown and Orange.

This truly was pathetic, was my first trip ever to the new Browns Stadium. There were as many Steeler fans there as there were Browns fans, and they were much louder obviously. To see a sea of terrible towels being waved in our stadium on National TV was a joke. Charlie Frye had no time to throw, and on the rare occasion that he did it was overthrow or underthrow. I wonder for how many years the Browns defense plans on making that fat-ass Bettis look like Earl Campbell?

Anyway, I would like to applaud the Steelers fans for their behavior. It's a shame this game isn't what it used to be, because although we are allegedly bitter rivals, the Browns and Steeler fans seem pretty decent towards one another. Alot of fun ribbing going on. As we left the Stadium, Steeler fans were holding up Steeler shirts and pushing them towards Browns fans faces. Not being nasty, just having fun. I didn't see anything that resembled a fight, except for when Ward threw the ball to a Steeler fan in the Dawg-Pound after his TD and the guy got mugged for the ball. Other than that, it was pretty tame, and except for the game itself, it was a fun day.
