Cleveland Browns (official thread of Masochism 2015)

I hate to say this, because I was not a Hoyer fan, but the front office's decision to bench Hoyer last year in favor of Manziel was the death knell of this team. The players and the coaching staff believed in Hoyer, and the team played hard with him at the helm. Hoyer led the team to a 7-6 record. Since benching Hoyer, the team is 2-13.

I found myself wanting hoyer to be more than he was, I'll admit. But, yeah I mean... I guess my big problem was... Exactly to your point here.. They competed when he was in the game.. And while you don't just want to go along at a .500 clip, I get that... But it was a .500 clip with hoyer at qb, and nothing remotely resembling a run defense. (And that's really my problem with pettine... He's a defense guy.. And the defense sucks. This isn't even belichick bringing in tesataverde to not fuck up games for the defense. It's... I dunno what the fuck it is.)

@NFBuck The Browns are favored over the 49ers. Your thoughts…
I think the 49ers suck. Though, to be honest, I'm not sure they suck worse than the clowns. Gabbert's been playing surprisingly well since taking the reigns, and with the clowns defense, he could have a big day.

The more I look at it, the more baffled I am that the clowns are favored. But, I guess the Niners could revert to the sludge fart offense they've been most of the year at any time. Gabbert will have to carry it, because without El Guapo, the Niners run game has been as bad, if not worse than the clowns. The QB has been their most effective runner most of the season, and most of those yards come from him running for his life.
