Cleveland Browns (official thread of Masochism 2015)

FYI, the Niner "offense" has been held < 200 total yards in a game four times this year. But, since Gabbert took over, they're averaging a less embarrassing 320.8 total yards per game.

Outside of Torrey Smith occasionally doing his best Devin Smith impression, they have no real big play threats. It's mostly a short passing game utilizing their assortment of Tight Ends and Anquan Boldin or dumping it off to the RB as defenders bear down on Gabbert. The running backs are retread scrubs, so mostly 1.5 yards and a cloud of dust. Gabbert did scamper for a clutch 44 yard game-tying TD run last week. He's no Kaep on the run, but he can move fairly decently when plays break down.

Certainly sounds like a tossup game to me.

Really, since you mention it, they might as well go out, do the coin toss... and whoever wins.... just give them the game. Of course, that opens the door for the Browns to win 4 tossups in a row... and pick 12th in the draft.

Gary Barnidge signs an extension with the Browns. 3 years, north of $12 million. Not a bad deal for either side really, assuming he doesn't go Josh Gordon in the offseason.
It was interesting to read that he went right to Haslam to do the extension. Normally, I would think the GM would handle that. May be that is a sign of something to come.

On another note, I hope they get a deal done with Benjamin.

It's a very good deal for both sides. Cleveland gets an elite receiving TE that is getting a bit old, which makes this price point a good compromise. $5.5 million guaranteed.
