Cleveland Browns (official thread of Masochism 2015)

While it really did not matter in the outcome of the game, I thought the game was very poorly officiated and the Rams got away with a lot of late shots.
I have no idea what has happened to the OL which was supposed to be a strength of this team. Way too many holding penalties and false starts. Cannot even run block yet pass block.
I thought that Josh played a pretty good game for all the hits and duress that he was under the entire game.
I do not know if Pet will be around next year or not. His forte was supposed to be defense and while I can excuse him for the back end of the defense there is no excuse for all the running yardage that this team has given up.

On the bright side the Browns should have a pretty good shot at fucking up a top 5 draft pick this year. They might be able to win 1 more game with this schedule. Too bad a 3 win season will get Pet the boot so we have to start from scratch again next year. This team is beyond next year. They are perennially a few years away from being good. Might as well cut or trade anyone that isn't going to be part of the team within the next two years and rebuild.
 Browns will do what they always do ... rally at the end to win meaningless games and put themselves out of the top tier talent at the positions of needs... you know this will happen. You can set your clocks by it.

I have a feeling this is the year. Trading deadline is this week. Let's start unloading: Mack, Thomas, Manziel, Kruger, Dansby, Gibson, Williams for starters. All in on the tank.

The majority of those guys have not lived up to their press clippings the past couple years anyway and that includes Haden so except for Dansby and may be Williams that might not be a bad idea.

they should trade Joe Thomas since it's clear this team is never going to do anything worth a shit in what he has left in his career.

Sad but so, so , so true. I mean with a non-bobbins franchise you'd at least have the prospect of high draft picks to look forward to. But with the Browns you pretty much know they are going to utterly fuck up 95% of whatever they do so there's not even that as consolation.

I honestly only watch them anymore because I tend to do work on Sundays and have multiple monitors so why not throw our weekly catastrophe on to one of them?

It is almost impressive, really, to be so consistently miserable for so long in a league where the overall design is to get everyone into the playoffs at least every third year or so. I think only if this organisation was actually trying to be terrible it might actually win something. That is how incompetent they are. They would fuck up "fucking up."

Hey Farmer! Try drafting the worst possible players in every round! And then that utter and complete plank would end up pulling off the modern analog to when the Squealers drafted Terry Bradshaw, Mean Joe Greene, and 4 others of their all-time greats in one year or whatever.
