Hope Dorsey isn't overvaluing his guys. Could have sworn Corbett had some snaps on ST last year and didn't inspire confidence.
Have read where some people think that Robinson's best position might be guard. Maybe Dorsey drafts one of the pure LTs and moves Robinson to guard. I would not particularly like this because I would like to see the #17 pick go defense but I guess I want to see what Dorsey does in FA.

Well, credit to MKC, who said Zeitler could be moved two months ago and everyone assumed it was another one of her vapid Justin Blackmon-like takes. I thought Dorsey would be working the Vernon phones as soon as he was available. This is a home run if Corbett is serviceable...if he is Tony Pashos, this is a bad move

I am getting too freakin old to wait for another Browns championship so I want Dorsey to blow the lid on the salary cap.

I'm young enough that I'd rather maximize the potential over the next 10 years than shoot for the moon over the next 2.

As far as Zeitler it's a risk to trade a known good OL hoping you can fill the hole. I'm hoping they have seen enough in Corbett to make this a no brainer in the FO. If Robinson can be an average LT there is no reason he can't be an above average RG with his size. Harrison still has potential at LT with half a season of experience and an off-season of training. It will be interesting to see what palyers the Browns go after as FA's. This is the first year they don't have any major holes to fill.

I have no idea how much the contracts are supposed to rise, but that's above the annual rate paid to most top LB signees last year.

top 2018 FAs per SBNation

$7.50 - 22.5 m 3 yr - Avery Williamson
$8.00 - 24.0 m 3 yr - Demario Davis*

$9.00 - 45.0 m 5 yr - Anthony Hitchens* **
$8.00 - 40.0 m 5 yr - Nigel Bradham
$8.00 - 24.0 m 3 yr - Zach Brown

* - Labeled after the season as one of the best FA signings
** - B/R called it one of the worst before the season

A similar 2019 prospect would be Jordan Hicks, which is estimated as a 7.5 m / 3 yr guy.

Is he worth 9mil/yr (rising to 11 later)? Obviously not....

The 11mil came from an article... there's many but didnt find exact one in 2min.
Looks like i was seeing saved capspace instead of actual salary - he was due 10 and 12.

Again, already said i agree he's not worth that money. But the team was already 26mil under the cap*... and no signs they'll come close to filling that gap than previous years.

I'm glad they're saving Tenn Jerr money and wasting precious time with key players on rookie contracts.

*not counting the 56mil carryover, i dont necessarily expect them to spend that (i figure last 5mil of cap and carryover is when you get real stingy... not -26m)

I believe with Dorsey making more moves this offseason, as long as Baker stays healthy they are probably going to win the division and make the playoffs. Bengals are trash, Steelers are imploding and Ben is over the hill, and Baltimore's inability to pass is going to bite them more this upcoming year than it did last year.

I agree with this and that scare me. Not the agreeing with you part but the fact that you may actually be right.
