Cleveland Browns (Finally drafting Buckeyes)

The Browns seem to have some similar weapons to the Rams. Why not incorporate some of what they do that works? Maybe it's just the DC, but they were able to take the Patriots game plan against the Rams and hold them to 20 points missing all their starting DB's and a LB.

That would involve us going under center more and utlizing more 21 personnel at times. Not flashy enough for the fun and gun our HC and QB envisioned.

I'd bet the O-line would look a lot better if the playcalling was shittastic and always leaving them in very obvious passing downs...They aren't the 1992 Cowboys or anything like that in terms of talent, but it's really hard to block 4 guys (or more) trying to kill the QB when said QB can't find anyone open because he has no confidence in the scheme and it's always 3rd and 8 or longer.

Anyone else see this... if I was the GM I’d walk down and say - you’re handing over duties or your fired.... Freddie was a bad hire. . shoulda have kept him as OC if you wanted but as HC he was a bad hire

Doesn’t the OC usually call the plays? They moved the ball well on the RPOs when Baker got the ball out or handed it off quick. Then they would seemingly go away from it especially when they were in the RZ.

yeah typically but typical browns they promoted a guy who had just called played for half a season...so he hasn’t even called plays for a full 16 games yet and he’s trying to be HC as well...

Those RPO's are that much harder to execute in the RZ because of the spacing.

As for "built to win now" - not so much. The Oline is shoddy at best and we have a QB who has been turnover prone since middle of last season against above average defenses. This team still needs a good deal of work.
