Cleveland Browns (Finally drafting Buckeyes)

Its the "and picks" that are the problem. I mean if the Texans need cap relief... ok... but we know they also need draft assets, I don't see how you give them both.

One of the problems with the Draft being so damned long from now... is, If you're the Texans, you're looking to move Watson. (and I just saw this, not because you happen to be a Raiders fan, I'm not trying to say there's anything actually to it - and if you want, we can proxy the whole Rams Lions deal with Goff and Stafford) but, lets say the two best options the Texans have are the Raiders where they get Carr back plus a couple picks, and the Panthers were they get a whole lotta good picks.

In one scenario, you get the 8 and a lot of capital but you need a QB, and lets say they like Justin Fields but think they need to get to 5 to take him (I don't really know, but I don't feel like 8 is gonna cut it) but either way, you have a rookie QB and now you have to fully rebuild and you're wishing you got picks (not Njoku) for your fire sale.

But, say you got Carr back and the 17. Well, the, swing back to the Browns and say there's a nice looking DT sitting there at 17 (as long as its not Quitty Pie I don't care, any DL they like) now, if you're the Texans, you'd probably rather have Njoku, and maybe the 26 and a 3rd for the #17.

...now, if they want to throw Justin Reid in too...

I think you can do better with 17.5M than Watt especially if you are giving up something to get him. Perhaps if the deal was Watt and picks for Njoku there might be something there.

They don't have a draft pick till 2039. Ok, maybe that's not quite the case... but they may not have any that someone would trade for till then.

Sad... In Charlotte, Marty Schottenheimer has been moved to hospice dealing with Alzheimer's for last 7 years
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Former Browns head coach Marty Schottenheimer has been moved to a hospice facility near his home in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday, his family announced. Schottenheimer is listed in stable condition following complications from Alzheimer’s disease. He was diagnosed with the disease in 2014.

“As a family, we are surrounding him with love and are soaking up the prayers and support from all those he impacted through his incredible life,” his wife, Pat Schottenheimer, said in the statement and speaking on behalf of their children, Kristin and Brian. “In the way he taught us all, we are putting one foot in front of the other ... one play at a time.”

OPINION: Thanks, but no thanks on idea of Tom Brady as Cleveland Browns quarterback
According to BetOnline, if Brady chooses to continue his NFL career away from the Patriots, the Browns are considered the favorite (11-to-2 odds) to land the future Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee....

Here are three reasons why the Browns should say, “Thanks, but no thanks” to the idea of Brady joining the team....
OPINION: The Cleveland Browns would be Super Bowl Champs right now if Tom Brady were their quarterback
