Cleveland Browns (Finally drafting Buckeyes)

draft-day.gif

This was the year, movie, and homeless guy that led to drafting Manziel.
Just like to get that out there.
You may as well be posting John Cooper scUM 'highlights' ....
If this offense can't run the ball they might as well burn down the stadium and move the team to Cuba. They have a HC/OC that relies on running and play action to open the passing game, they have one of the best OL coaches currently in the game, they signed one of the best FA OT's this offseason, they drafted possibly the best OT in the draft, they have the best pair of RB's in the league, and they already have one of the best LG/C combos in the league. It's going to be really heartbreaking when coronavirus cancels the season.

My perfect end to the draft would be for one of the top safeties in the 2nd then they take the best Buckeye available for the rest of the draft.

It would be mind boggling if they dont figure out how to play the games, with billions on the line, with 6mo lead time.

The Bama Oline has done a great job protecting Tua for the past 2 years.

(i dont know what role Willis had in any of that, but 'he protected the QB with a season ending injury' is not confidence inspiring... and it wasnt a one-off injury. Tua was getting abused.)

we needed another DT?

Sheldon is gone after this year. Elliot is being groomed as the 3tech replacement. And with the amount of odd fronts Woods likes to play (3 big bodies) I'm cool with it. I just figured it would be a round later. DI is either dominant
1st round or you find the value in the later rounds where rounds 2-3 are where you hit skill spots like RB, TE and then OG. So I have to scratch my head at the timing of the pick. But I understand the reasoning.

Phillips over Malik on the other hand? I don't get it. Nevermind the local connection, I just don't see how the LSU product outshines MH on tape and I'm halfway through watching the 2019 season for Phillips as I type this.

Bama's Oline is quite good and Jed is the best of the Bunch. Tua just loves holding onto the ball and throwing bombs. There is a reason he got lit up by Clemson while Burrow didn't.
