Cleveland Browns (Factory of Sadness)

:slappy:

A dome stadium won't make Cleveburg a destination city. Delusions of grandeur.

Looks like OH elected officials are on board to waste bond dollars on this albatross of a project. I am sure every other pro sports owner in OH is ready to start their requests for a new facility too.

This is just going to be moving chairs around on the deck of the Titanic. The bulk of "entertainment dollars" spent here will just be shifted from other places it would have been already spent in NE Ohio. The Haslams may be the only winners on this one.

But it’ll make a franchise QB far easier to find.

It’s no coincidence Cleveland, Chicago, and until recently Buffalo never had a franchise QB.

Explain Pittsburgh.

And New England.

And Green Bay.

Uh Denver?

And Cleveburg had Kosar who took them to multiple AFC championship games before Jim Kelly took the Bills to Super Bowls.

Detroit and Minnesota have had domes for years and their last 30 years of history are worse than the Bengals.

Nice try using weather as an excuse for Cleveburg losing.

Peyton Manning left a dome to play in a cold weather city to finish his career. Andrew Luck retired early.

The owners will be the winners spending others money to make theirs. Isn’t that the way these days.

Agreed.

Here's the list of QBs the Browns drafted since 2000:
2000 Spergon Wynn - Rd 6
2004 Luke McCown - Rd 4
2005 Charlie Frye - Rd 3
2007 Brady Quinn - Rd 1
2010 Colt McCoy - Rd 3
2012 Brandon Weeden - Rd 1
2014 Johnny Manziel - Rd 1
2016 Cody Kessler - Rd 3
2017 DeShone Kizer - Rd 2
2018 Baker Mayfield - Rd 1
2023 Dorian Thompson-Robinson - Rd 5

I would say that none of those players is a franchise player, though they'd be a playoff team if they had kept Baker Mayfield without trying to get Watson.
