At the first sentence I honestly thought that article was supposed to be satire.

The Undefeated is the Colin Kapernick of ESPN articles.

The firing of Sahsi Brown is a problem? Why? Oh. Because it is one less black GM in the league. Basically, Sashi is black and there aren’t a bunch of black GMs so he should undeservingly get to keep the job that he is terrible at. THAT’s the point. Not the logical one.

Journalism at it’s best.

What kind of shit is that?

“He sucks but he’s black so we’re stuck with him.”

Is that REALLY what we’re going for here?

Equality? How about preferential treatment? Then the world will be fair! Because that is the complaint, right? That it isn’t fair?

I sense an overwhelming tide of apathy in this thread. I work with another former Clowns fan. Nice guy, from Lorain, in his (I think) mid-sixties. He was a fan from childhood and can actually remember the '64 championship team. We were discussing what a disaster they have been since the rebirth today. He said he can remember the moment he was done supporting them...when they drafted Johnny Foosball.

It's an interesting discussion. I think there's a few here that have either totally given up hope, or, like me totally stopped supporting this [Mark May] show. So, the question is, what was the moment for you?

For me? I gave up hope sometime during Mangina's first year. I knew this outfit was NEVER going to get it together. But I can pinpoint the moment I was done supporting them...when they drafted a 28 year system quarterback in the first round. That was it for me. I had a ton of clowns apparel that I used to wear, it all went in boxes and to Goodwill a few months later. Haven't spent a nickel on them since. I couldn't care less of they ever get it together, because I think I get more enjoyment out of their hilarious failures than I ever could from them being competitive.

It was a series of awful draft picks. Living out of the Midwest I could only follow tangentially anyway... Manziel was the last straw.
The clusterfucks with Winslow, Braylon, Quinn, Gordon, and then finally Manziel. Done.
They almost sucked me in last year... then passed up getting Watson or Hooker for Peppers. That shit dropped right at their feet and they fucked it up. GFY Browns.

I'm more than well aware of that. This current FO...well, no longer current - Sashi is out, took Coleman and Peppers while managing to pass on Wentz. Different group, same result. They can all share the blame.

Not to defend Sashi but the DC hand-picked Peppers. That falls back on Jackson.

Not just Hue. What purpose does DePodesta actually serve? Isn’t it his money ball analytic bull[Mark May] that has this team thinking Jabrill Peppers is a better pick than Malik Hooker?

Gregg Williams said:
“Damnit. Yes, Peppers is on the team. Can’t do anything about it. Okay? But his useless ass is gonna stay as far away as possible and only speak when spoken to. You got it? Last thing we need is for our better defenders to get Chlamydia. Can you catch it from getting too close? Fuck if we’re gonna find out.”

There's a lot more stuff out there from around the time they drafted him to preseason.
If chlamydia spreads orally, I can guarantee Greg Williams has it... Peppers was 100% his guy =/
The trade down to pass on several great players that mysteriously fell to us and end up in a spot to pick him was moneyball guys though.

"Moneyball" values production and intangibles at the lowest price possible. GerbiLLL is, quite literally, the opposite of whatever "Moneyball" is supposed to be. Unless it's the polar opposite in football...which...Kenny Britt...maybe it is.
Well, Dorsey''s first move was to get rid of Britt. So we do not have him to kick around anymore. It will be interesting to see how long "Moneyball" survives but since he reports directly to Jimmy he might survive.
