Cleveland Browns (2016 thread of unrelenting dumpster conflagration)

well at least they cannot trade that pick away and he might be better than what they could possibly select in the draft anyhow

No clue. He's 27, so not over the hill...but will be by the time this team is ready to do anything.

Seems like an odd move... 3rd rounder feels kinda expensive... oh well its the browns.

edit: if these FO fuckers dont sign this guy to a longer term deal and he walks ...:smash:

He is a very good player but is a free agent so a deal will need to be worked out for this to be a good deal, I'm curious if the Browns will have matching status if he doesn't sign a deal by seasons end.

But nothing like going to bed 7-1 on Sunday and waking up as an 0-8 Brownie on Monday.

Collins doesn't play the same spot at Myles Garrett.

I'm aware of that. What I'm saying is we just traded for a weakside backer that can run, hit, cover, tackle and rush the passer especially in nickel and further subpackage looks. LE is set between Ogbah and Carl.

To me our next biggest issue (at least, on paper) would be identifying who can provide long term interior pressure.

edit: And to date I'll say that Garrett doesn't impress me. He doesn't have the same first step that Von does yet you hear the comparison all the time. No counter move to speak of. He has a tendency to walk himself out of plays as well. I'm sure I'll watch more of him towards the end of the season but as of right now I'm not going to shout the guys name from the rooftops.

Actually, it will probably be corner after Haden is traded in 2 days
