The Browns will have the same OL problems next season, with Joe Thomas being one more year past his prime. Good luck to Kizer, Watson, etc.
EDIT: And maybe it wasn't such a good idea to let Mack and Schwartz walk. The OL would look quite a bit better with those two plugged in. But analytics, or whatever.
The story at the time wasn't that the Analytics guys didn't want them... but that they weren't prepared for the flurry of activity on first day of Free Agency. They got caught flat-footed holding their dicks while pieces flew off the board.
Which is a pretty awful statement in and of itself... just trying to place the blame on the right facet of incompetence I guess.
Golic was talking about the Wentz grade this morning by the Browns and said that they fired the scouts that gave him a bad grade....Which way is it....In either event I don't think Wentz would be the QB he is showing to be on the Browns. Look at the Pats putting in a rookie that the Browns could have potentially drafted over Kessler. What were the scout ratings there or the rating on Dak Prescott?
Tbf, Kessler was an awful pick imo. I just don't get what they saw in him that high in the draft.
Then again, I just wasn't impressed with that draft in general. I was relieved they didn't go QB... but disappointed they traded out of the elite players. And then got several WRs who need to relearn their position.
And Baylor.
