Cleveland Browns (2016 thread of unrelenting dumpster conflagration)

You can't possibly watch Cleveland blow a 20 pt lead and not think the NFL is anything short of magical.
True. There's just so much about "The Shield" I hate and I hate that I still casually watch.

The Browns side of it is entertaining enough, if not predictable. I'd almost think Haslam paid the refs off to make sure they lose, but Browns being Browns requires no monetary incentive. See you losers next week.

Titans possibly about to get a win. That's one hurdle cleared for the derps on the lake. Cowboys got a win as well.
Yeah, since this isn't a goat thread and there's no mojo for positivity here, bad news is, these idiots are gonna win this year. Maybe more than once. 17 rooks... they're gonna get better. the coaches are gonna find more stuff they can succeed at... now 2-14 might still get you the #1.

1 maybe 2 wins is ok with me. For having a team with a ton of 1st and 2nd year players, they showed heart yesterday. Danny played quite well on the interior, Nate had a few nice plays. Nassib continues to show the motor
he just needs work on a secondary move and stacking/shedding. Kindred has been a nice find especially as a 5th DB on early downs. He's not afraid of contact or being in the box so we can still be aggressive against the run.

Joe was looking a bit like himself yesterday, big time on that first pick. He read the pattern all day long. Taylor opened up too early on that TD pass, double move got him well. Kirksey was flying around yesterday, if our backers
could be just a bit more active in underneath coverage...

CC looked explosive, Pryor is a physical mismatch, Hawk did some good things early on along with Barney being reliable. Having Gordon back can only make things better.

I don't see this team as having year 1 expansion type dearth of talent. We need a QB, but more importantly we need a center (Cam out so probably addition by subtraction) and we need to either address RT in the draft or hope Shon gets healthy quick and shows why I liked him in the draft. As it stands from C to RT is getting our QB's killed. Shit, this offense actually looked explosive when McCown had time to throw.

I know there will bad days ahead this season, but its a necessary evil. If a franchise QB presents himself, and you can get protection for him meanwhile improving the front 7 and depth on that backend... this team might not suck in due time.

Nassib out with broken hand - and the fun continues.

Yeah, it was a lot better on D... I like Kindred a lot.

OL is a greasefire.... and Pryor will be QB by next week at this rate.
