Cleveland Browns (2016 thread of unrelenting dumpster conflagration)

I blame Kevin Sumlin. Is that how this works?

Only if it eventually arrives at Ty Willingham

Gentlemen.... Come now....

It's this guy's fault:

Question. Would you rather have the Broncos D with McCown at QB or any QB in the league with the Browns D from last year? For me if Bosa is rated the best player in the draft and is there at #2 I take him and roll the dice at QB later or not at all. There is no Peyton Manning in this draft.

Broncos D without question, especially since there isn't a slam dunk QB in this draft.

Jesus the Broncos D...you could make a case McCown had a better year than Manning when he was healthy

I was at the Broncos game this season in Cleveland when the Super Bowl champs and Manning didn't even beat the Browns (the 3-13 Browns.) The Browns beat the Browns by going for 2 in regulation when it made no fucking sense (thanks a lot, Mike Pettine) and then they couldn't even move the ball forward to kick a game winning FG in OT (thanks a lot, McCown) after a Manning INT. Not sure where I'm going with this now but it feels good to vent and think of how the Browns played the champs so damn close. Wait...no it doesn't because they should have beat the champs but finished 3-13. Gooooooooo Browns!

The Cleveland Browns said quarterback Johnny Manziel had a concussion to cover for him after he showed up to practice drunk, according to NFL Network's Michael Silver.

Silver appeared on television Tuesday and detailed how he says the Browns helped protect and enable Manziel.

"I was with a Browns player yesterday," Silver said. "Johnny Manziel, going into what would have been a start late in the season, showed up drunk at practice on a Wednesday. The Browns lied and said he was in the concussion protocol."

Manziel was announced as having a concussion on the Wednesday prior to Week 17. He was ruled out a day later, then reportedly missed a mandatory treatment session on Sunday morning after he was spotted in Las Vegas partying in disguise on Saturday.

The Browns are expected to release Manziel in March.
