First if it wasn't clear I wasn't disputing the Gase isn't interested.... sorry... but, as in the article above:

It was clear the Browns wanted to make Gase their next head coach. He was especially to have been the top choice of owner Jimmy Haslam, who is a close personal friend of Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning since going back to their days at the University of Tennessee.

Is it clear? I mean, its one thing to say, "Yeah we'd like to talk to the guy" but somehow it metastisized into him being the one and only target, but, I just don't remember anything other than the rumor mill going out of control actually saying that.

All the speculation here on the radio is that they are scrambling now to add new guys because he was the real target. Dustin Fox is at the Senior Bowl this week, and he and the NFL insiders said this was the place to build a staff, not find a HC...that should be in place by now.

Speculation being the key. Now McDaniels? Yeah maybe. I'd wager they're more interested in Quinn than gase

Smoke there's fire, yada yada so on and so forth.

I really don't know much about this guy other than the Bills are pretty talented up front and they appear to have been well coached on that side of the ball.
