Losing Miles hurts, but honestly he did more for longer than anyone thought going into the season. The fact that he played 2 games with Gordon is amazing given his history. They need to tell Hoyer every time he throws a pick or goes 3 and out they are going to give Manziel a series. Probably not related, but his performance started to deteriorate about the time he stopped looking over his shoulder. Seeing what Manziel did on his first series I wouldn't have a problem giving him 2-3 series sprinkled in especially if Hoyer doesn't look like he has it. Regardless of how Manziel does I would go back to Hoyer right away just to fuck with the Colts.

I just hope that not only Hoyer plays better, but the offense in general. The line needs to be more aggressive and aware in run blocking. The backs need to stay low out of their cuts and not give the ball to the defense and Gordon
needs to start seeing the field better.

More importantly, the defense. They've been playing quite well and the only shot we have against Luck is taking advantage of the Colts spotty line play.

I think the Browns front office is afraid that Hoyer will not re-sign with them if they let Johnny football play some games. I think he believes that he can be a starting QB for almost any team in the league. It will be interesting to see if he decides to test the waters if any team will take a flyer on him. He is just very lucky that Cleveland was starving for a QB and I have no idea what other team he could start for.

I think its been noted... Saturday is Jony's 22nd birthday... Sunday is the game.. .does anyone trust him to be a professional and not party his ass off Saturday night?

maybe the jets, or perhaps the texans if mallett walks as a FA. otherwise, his pickings are slim, especially with there being a likely 3 qbs taken in the top 10 of the draft this year.

I think the FO is prepared to let him walk rather than pay him silly starter money...I get the sense that the coaching staff is more pro-Hoyer than the FO is. I see it more as if you put JM in and he stinks the joint up, you risk losing the locker room by going to a rookie in the middle of a playoff chase. I think JM is the starter next year regardless, and they will still yank Hoyer this year (as soon as the second quarter) if he continues to suck.
