Cleveland Browns (2014 Season)

So, as an unbiased observer, you guys got a team. That was impressive. Now, all you Browns fans are gonna get all superstitious and go full retard. Let me tell you, that was a playoff team tonight. Probably not Super Bowl team, but a really good team. Quit losing to Jacksonville. lol

PS: NFL rules still suck donkey dick. Fuck the NFL.

Let me say that my above post isn't fair to anyone in this thread. I'm reacting to my hard core Browns buddies who came over tonight to watch the game. They were still hiding their eyes with 4:00 left thinking the Browns might still lose...Don't know how to win yet. PTBD- Post Traumatic Browns Disorder. lol

My PTBD tells me that even with as well as the Browns played last night they could still come out and lay an egg for the rest of the season and go 6-10. It always seem like after they take a step forward like that they get the big head end up taking a step or two back the next game. IMO if they can come out with a similar game against Houston that perception might start to change.

On the bright side I found out I have a lucky Browns game shirt. I wore it for the Saints, Steelers2, and last night. Debating if I need to wear it for every game or just the really important ones. :p

Yep, the Browns are in real danger of making the playoffs now.

Well steps forward are good. And they'll have some shitty games down the stretch. They key is, you know, not to string 7 in a row. Oddly... What happened last night is sorta how I envisioned them having to win games at the beginning of the year... Efficient offense with a competent zone run game... Win turnovers, capitalize on opportunities and get some big plays on d. I felt going in that they'd win most games if the could find 20-24 points... And mostly against bad teams but hey... Steps forward. As it is they have a blowout win against Pittsburgh and a blowout win on the road... Who cares who it was against.

I'd still be very pleased with 9-7 in a vacuum. 6-3 without Gordon, a limited Cameron, and a couple wins post Alex mack? Plus the d is sorta catching up to where they needed to be... Not too shabby. Oh and Brandon weeden isn't walking through that door.

I'd like to highlight that this is exactly what many of us wanted and expected to start the season. I'll have no qualms what-so-ever if this team continues playing the rest of the season like they did last night. Especially defensively. On offense my only real concerns are the Oline continuing to progress and our young RB's holding onto the god damn ball. Crow is our most talented back, hell, he might have the most natural talent of any RB in the AFC North - but it means little if he's a fumbling risk.

Going back to the Oline. I think last night was a bit of the Bungles Bungling and a bit of growth. McDonald stone walled Atkins a couple times in pass pro. Even if Geno is only 75-80% , he's still an above average tackle and that means a lot in terms of confidence.

Crazy enough, we get Houston at home after a huge win with plenty of time to rest in between. The Atlanta and Carolina games look winnable from here and I honestly believe we take the next one away from the Ratbirds. 9-7 wild card could be very possible with this team.
