why keep trotting out a back that is going to muster 3.4 ypc, provided he doesn't get injured yet again? whining about potential draft failures is really not worthy of discussion at this point as this regime has selected one guy in the top 3 rounds so far, and in his one game, he's been an impact player, and you certainly can't argue with their free agency selections. so, until they actually blunder a draft, there's no real point in whining about them doing so, outside of the tired typical refrains of 14 years of failure ect....

Pretty sure the last 14 years show that we suck at drafting players. I honestly don't see a change in the future either. If you see/know something otherwise, please share

Butch was the answer. Then Savage was the answer. Then Kokinis was the answer. Then heckert/Holmgren was the answer. Now it's Slugworth and LOLbardi. We hear the same thing every few years. Every few years we are told we can't hold past regime's failures against he current regime, because this time it'll be different. They have a plan. Well, everybody had a plan. I actually thought they might have had a shot with a new owner this time around. Hiring LOLbardi burnt up any goodwill I felt towards slugworth/jimmah. It's just gonna be more of the same.

Trent Richardson trade: Browns now projected to have 2nd, 6th picks
The Cleveland Browns traded Trent Richardson, the third pick in the 2012 draft, to the Indianapolis Colts for a first-round draft pick next year. PredictionMachine.com projects the Colts to finish tied for the fifth-worst record in the league with Minnesota and Oakland. This would result in the Browns getting around the 6th overall pick (splitting the difference). The Browns, who are looking to rebuild a franchise that has only had two winnings seasons since 1999, will have 10 draft picks next year.

Browns fans would probably still think this was a bad trade if this happened...

The Browns will save $6.6 million by trading Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for a first-round draft pick in 2014. Including his signing bonus, the Browns paid the running back -- taken third overall in 2012 -- $13.8 million for what amounted to 17 games.

Six of the players featured in the first nine months of the Browns' 2013 calendar -- Richardson, Josh Cribbs, Scott Fujita, Colt McCoy, Evan Moore and Mohamed Massaquoi -- are no longer Browns.

Add that to the FBI investigation into the fuel rebate scandal of Pilot Flying J, the company run by new owner Jimmy Haslam, and it has been a rough couple of months to be a fan of the Browns. Cleveland hasn't made the playoffs for the past 10 seasons and has started this season 0-2.
