Cleveland Browns (2012 season)

I do not think that I would take a OT at #22. I think you could get a quality RT later in the draft. I also think that we might be looking for a LB and either #22 on #37 because we don't know what is going to happen with the "bounty man".

this tackle class is not good. anything past pick #37 is not going to be a guy that can start any time soon. the value at linebacker in the later rounds is vastly superior to tackles. if the right tackle is there at 22 or 37, cleveland will take him and not think twice.

Jeff Reynolds from CBS puts it nicely:

"Trade-up speculation currently centers around the Vikings at No. 3, and teams that might want to scramble and gamble that Ryan Tannehill is more than an athlete playing quarterback, overlooking his late-game failures at Texas A&M and praying he won't be the next Kyle Boller."

Tony Grossi is reporting that Philly is very interested in Tannehill and want to trade up to #4 to get him.

Cleveland would receive Philly's 1st rounder and both of their 2nd rounders. So, they would have:

#15
#22
#37
#46
#51

im of the opinion that we need to stand pat with #4 and take richardson or claibourne...we need as much depth as we can get but we are ultimately lacking talent

I'd do that in a heartbeat.

Let's see how this could work out:

15 - Michael Floyd, WR (Floyd will start opposite Little)

22 - Jonathan Martin, T (Martin will start at RT).

37- David Wilson RB. (Wilson will play and split duties with Hardesty but eventually will start)

46 - Amini Silatolu, G/OT. (Will srart at one of guard positions and provide depth at either T position if needed)

51 - Lavonate David, LB. Could start at some point at one of the OLB postions.

And the rest of the draft could go like this:

67 - Dwayne Allen, TE (Could start at TE, had a good career at Clemson)

100 - Chase Minniefield, CB. (Provides depth and competion at CB opp. Haden; PLUS he's a legacy. His dad did a hell of job for us. Why not?)

118 - Marcus Forston, DT (Depth at DT is needed)

139 - Russel Wilson, QB (Had to pick a QB at some point why not Wilson)

160 - Dontae-Paige Moss, DE (Depth and youth at DE just in case Frostee doesn't pan out)

204 - BJ Cunningham, WR ( I like this kid, OSU didn't recruit him and had a decent career at MSU; at this point you take him and see what he can do.)

205 - Justin Bethel, S ( Depth at safety)

211- Blake Gideon, S (Depth at safety)

245 - Blair Walsh, K (Need a new kicker at some point)

247 - Tony Bergstrom, T (Depth on the line)

I would be happy with this draft. Continue building this team through the draft

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the Eagles and Rams are both "believed to be" interested in trading up to the Browns' pick at No. 4 overall.

The Plain Dealer gives the Browns a "decent chance" of trading out of No. 4. "At least three or four" clubs drafting in the top 20 have reportedly phoned Cleveland, with St. Louis and Philadelphia thought to be among them. The Eagles could be targeting Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill, while the Rams may be eyeing LSU CB Morris Claiborne, Alabama RB Trent Richardson, or Oklahoma State WR Justin Blackmon. One source told Browns beat reporter Mary Kay Cabot that the Chiefs "would probably not trade up" for Tannehill. It's believed no trade for the No. 4 pick would occur until draft day. Keep in mind the story comes out of Cleveland, and may have been leaked by the Browns to generate interest in the fourth pick.

If that's indeed the offer I'd do that in a heartbeat.

that said, I'm ok with standing pat at 4 as well. BTW why the hell is the media on Tannehill's nuts?

Because they're retarded and have learned nothing from Mike Mamula, Matt Jones, Troy Williamson, and all the other guys who look/play great in shorts, but had major flaws in their actual game tape. This guy has"B U S T" in bright, blinking lights above him.
