Cleveland Browns (2012 season)

I was wondering why we never see Kendall Wright's name associated with the Browns. I know that drafting him at #4 would be way too high but if we trade out of that spot Possibly get another selection in the first round I was wondering what others thought of him. I doubt if he's going to be there at #22 or maybe he will. Just don't know enough about him except that he can stretch the field and catch the ball:)

I actually don't think #4 is too high for Kendall Wright. He is a first-class stud at WR, regardless of his height.

4. Cleveland Browns, Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama

Conventional wisdom nowadays says never to draft running backs near the top of the first round. Richardson, however, is the exception that proves the rule. He is a multi-talented athlete who runs with power, explosion and straight-line speed. He is a complete running back that will significantly upgrade Cleveland's stale offense. Richardson will also come cheaper than trying to re-sign Peyton Hillis. Previous mocks had the Browns taking Justin Blackmon here, but the rumor mill has them sniffing out free agent receivers. Besides, Blackmon may not be a top-five prospect.

22. Cleveland Browns (from Atlanta), Ryan Tannehill, QB, Texas A&M

Colt McCoy has a bright future as an NFL backup quarterback. The Browns could be active in free agency or on the trade market looking for a veteran to replace McCoy. They might find a solid interim option to start ahead of Tannehill who has the kind of upside the Browns need in a quarterback.

DO NOT WANT. Either player. Don't get me wrong, I think Richardson is going to be a stud, but it would be horrible, horrible value to take him 4th overall, especially a team like the Browns who have sooooo many needs. RBs are a dime a dozen, fix up the right side of the line and the run game will fall into place.

the inability of the rb's last year were just as large a contributing factor to the lack of a run game as was the right side of the OL.

Richardson has as good or better chance at being an offensive stud as anyone in the draft. My best case scenario is RG3 on the board at 4 and Washington going full retard to move up 2 spots for him so the Browns can draft Richardson at 6 and not feel like they overpaid. I've said it many times but if the Browns can get Richardson and Floyd in the first round the offense would be much better next year.

Best case scenario IMO. Really starting to doubt Floyd will be there at 22 though.
