McShay is thinking that McCoy is the QB the Browns are gonna be going after early in the 2nd, but that we might have to move up.

I think McCoy is a good way to go for the Browns. He might not have the arm strength of the other guys on the board, but he fits the West Coast offense pretty well. Deadly accuracy, high football IQ, and mobility to find the passing lanes.

I'm 100% behind that. Colt's skill set fits the WCO to a tee. Plus he's a bright kid, a hard worker, and a character guy. Not to mention a winner.

Put me in the camp that definitely wants McCoy.

I think that McCoy would be a fantastic player and citizen in Cleveland.

Berry in 1..Colt in 2nd would be stunning

y0yoyoin;1692904; said:
agreed...behind bradford i would take mccoy next...hope the browns can pull something off to get him in the 2nd round

BuckeyeMike80;1692905; said:
Draft Berry at 7 and then trade up a bit to get McCoy late in the 1st/early in the 2nd = Great draft

Buckeneye;1692947; said:
1st - Berry
2nd - McCoy
3rd - Thaddeus

After that its gravy for me.
Still room on this bandwagon?

Sign me up for Berry and McCoy.

I would like to see McCoy go to SF or Cleveland (he's not going to SF). At least just don't go to a team I hate.. I like McCoy too much to root against him.

I'm also on the Berry and McCoy bandwagon.

since everyone is on the bandwagon the chances of us landing berry or mccoy are now at 2%...the browns never do what anyone wants...not saying this is what you wanted but here is my list

2009 - Alex Mack (i wanted Maleluga who we passed up twice)
2008 - none
2007 - Joe Thomas (Adrian Peterson)
2006 - Kam Wimbley (Antonio Cromartie)
2005 - Braylon Edwards (I did want Edwards)

Correct. The Browns didn't get Troy or Teddy. Berry will get taken at #5 by K.C.. Which inevitably means, Jimmy Clausen to Cleveland. It's my Cleveland pessimisn shining through...God I hope that doesn't happen. It'd just be terrible for the franchise and fans.

They'll probably take Clausen and then trade the rest of the picks and next year's #1 to move up into the first round to draft Taylor Mays. Sounds like the Browns to me.
Add me to the Berry/McCoy bandwagon.

looking back the 2008 draft for the browns was pretty bad

4 (104) Beau Bell Linebacker UNLV
4
(111) Martin Rucker Tight End Missouri
6
(190) Ahtyba Rubin Defensive Tackle Iowa State
6
(191) Paul Hubbard Wide receiver Wisconsin
7
(231) Alex Hall Defensive End St. Augustine's

Bell - Waived
Rucker - Waived
Rubin - Starts, still on team
Hubbard - Waived
Alex Hall - Traded for Sheldon Brown

2 out of 5 wins (Rubin and Hall) in rounds 4-7 isn't bad. I still like the Rucker pick, but he was hurt by the coaching change. New coaches/management don't have any reason to stick with someone else's project picks. By cutting all of those guys it makes the cupboard look that much more bare even if some of them were decent players. I have to think there would have been a place for Rucker in the second half of last season when our TE's sucked.

As a long time Brown's fan I just hope they don't trade up FOR ANYONE...I had high hopes when they brought Holmgren in to run things and then he signs Delhomme. I'd take Berry in the first and McCoy in the second round..but I'm afraid they will move up to the top of the second round for McCoy..and in usual Brown's style...they will give away to much to move up. This team needs a LOT of help and need every pick they can get.

I'd even do this.....if Berry is gone, trade down and pick up someone like Joe Haden..they might entice some team to trade up that wants Clausen(my worst nightmare pick for the Browns)...there are a lot of "good" players in this draft and the Browns need numbers.

Just for the record..I'm not a big Earl Thomas fan at safety

McShay made it sound like KC will go with Berry at #5.

Asshat he may be, but he'll probably be right on this one.

At that point I have no clue. Thursday might suck. :(
