That's one of the few things I miss about Dayton - I could see Browns games on free TV.

Yeah but it's only in the pre-season now. In the regular season, this CBS affiliate will only play the Bengals or nothing at all. I guess I should put a usually in that statement. Oh well.

It's certainly changed from when I was a kid then. I watched a lot of Browns games growing up.

I'll say this. Either Rob Ryan is stone cold fuck nuts, believes in baptism by fire, or has more faith in 2 rookies starting in the defensive backfield than anyone could imagine.

Running excessive failing blitz packages at GB leaving Haden and Ward with man coverage on excellent TEs and multiple 1,000 yard wr's with the 2nd best qb in the NFL is balls.

Aaron Rogers was unreal. Haden and Ward both had excellent coverage at times, and there was nothing they could have done.

I do find the lack of qb pressure with all those blitzes troubling. But that being said, Eric Barton sucks ass, there was no Shaun Rogers, and Gocong and Fujita haven't played in the 3-4 before.

That doesn't even address the offense, which if nothing else, in 1 quarter, showed how totally shitty quinn and anderson really were.

Agree with your comments regarding Ward and Haden being left one-on-one in coverage but they were going against one of the better QB's in the NFL. I would think this could only help down the road against lesser QB's and as you mentioned both of them have pretty good coverage on their guys but Rogers just made excellent throws.

I also think that the addition of Rogers will help greatly with our pass rush and so QB's but not at the time to be as accurate as Rogers was last night.

So far, nearing the end of the first half, TJ Ward is really impressing me. I had a fit when they took him in the second round of the draft, shows what I know.

Lord Love a Duck! Ward had some beautiful hits last night.

Also, just wondering: Seeing as how the Browns won their last four games in '09 plus their first of 2010, AND the Saints dropped their first this year to the Pats, AND everybody else who was anybody had to have lost their last game in '09 in the playoffs...

Would that mean that The Cleveland Browns now hold the longest winning streak in the NFL?

Overall, much better talent than last year. Special teams were excellent all night. Run defense greatly improved until garbage time.

Players who didn't impress; Elam (s), Coleman (DE), Ratliff (QB), St. Clair (ot). All the high draft picks played very well. Robo, and Massaquoi played well enough to have me feeling better about last years draft.

Garbage time players who showed me something; Marcus Bernard (LB), Jason Trusnik (LB), James Davis (RB), and an OT we picked up from the Bengals, #74, name started with a K?
