For the record, I don't condone cheering a player when they get hurt. It is, however, funny that he later says those statements were made out of frustration...

Maybe said cheering was a bit of frustration too, maybe.

It seems that DA is most frustrated with the fact that he got cut, not that the fans cheered when he got hurt; indeed, it's probably not coincidence that he starts whining the day after he gets cut. And if that's the case, the dude needs to man up and not act like a whiner when a team tells him that his on-field performance has dictated that he's no longer good enough to keep around on said team's roster.

And this is coming from someone who's not even a Browns fan and couldn't care less about what he says about the franchise or its fan base.

He's just pissed that he won't be getting that $2 million and won't be making 4 million or however much he was set to make next season...and will probably make like only 1 million because someone is dumb enough to sign him. Shoulda played better.

In my mind there's two QB's in this draft accurate enough to run a pretty heavy WC scheme - Bradford then McCoy. One is looking to fall to the 2nd or later round and the other might just be the #1 pick.
Clausen has the accuracy, only 4 INTs this year, and he's been battle tested playing through injuries. He played with that horrible O-line and went through that 50+ sack season his Freshman year. However, I hope the Browns down waste a first or second round pick on any QB in this draft. I'd like to make sure the right side of the offensive line is shored up, and that we get some playmakers first. We don't need another inexperienced QB to constantly go 3 and out, and the fans turn on him halfway throught he season.

At this point I think the Browns are better off sticking with who they have on roster or picking up an inexpensive QB from another team. As Holmgren pointed out, whoever they do pick they need to stick them in there and commit to them. No more musical chairs with the QBs.

I believe Pashos adds some security to the right side of that line, at the very least RG. RT might still need to be addressed, however I'm still feeling much better about the situation with a healthy roster then I was mid-season.

Bottom line, I really just don't want another Irish QB....

I have to think the Browns are going to go with someone in the defensive backfield with their first pick depending on who is available.

Although depending on if they trade Quinn/what they get back for him, that might really matter too. They likely won't get much more than a 4th or 5th rounder for him at best though.

We need a vbet because I'm thinking Seneca Wallace is going to be the starting QB unless he gets injured between now and the first weekend.

1) Either by the grace of god Eric Berry falls too us - we trade down and take Earl Thomas

2) Depending on who takes Quinn, most people see a young QB in a poor situation, I'd be willing to bet we'll get more than just a 4th round pick.

3) Barring some type of veteran FA move (McNabb) I completely agree about Wallace being the starter.

I REALLY hope this doesn't come to bear. Best player in the draft. (IMHO)

We are on the cusp of getting Ed Reed to retire and leave the division. I don't want to have to see Berry twice a year for the next decade.

If Wallace is the starter, the Browns will be lucky to win 4 games this season.
Doesn't matter who the qb is, they'll be lucky to win 4 games this year. Wallace's career numbers indicate he'll be an upgrade over the two headed gaggle-fuck we've had back there the past two years. He's not spectacular, but he's fairly mobile and has decent accuracy. Basically, he's Troy Smith with some starts under his belt. As a placeholder, they could do worse. See Delhomme, Jake.
