See aTm 2009.

He played DE in 2009, and moved to their hybrid "joker" position in 2010, right? He had a monster season in 2009, but if I'm not mistaken it was at DE, a position he's undersized for as a pro.

The more flattering comparison for him would be Terrell Suggs rather than Kam Wimbley. Still though, what's his role in a 4-3 defense? 240 lb. DE? OLB in a system that calls on the OLB to do things other than just QB:KILL HIM? Can he cover a TE or fill a gap in the run defense when he hasn't really been asked to do either in college?

von miller would have to eat a midget to get up to Suggs size. Von Miller was primarily used 2 ways for A&M, either dropping into coverage, or blitzing the qb. he was never really asked to fill holes and shed blockers like a typical 4-3 linebacker. I would hate this pick for Cleveland.

Can't say I would disagree with you. If Bowers, Fairley, Dareus, Peterson and Greene are all gone, who then? Quinn?

Austin had 38 reps in the bench and a 1.63 10 yard split, which is only a tenth of a second slower than Alabama?s Heisman Trophy winning RB Mark Ingram. Absolutely outstanding.

From the link above: I'm got to looking at some of his stuff from 2009. Aside from a somewhat average game against Virgina (Btw, UVA's Center is a beast) I would have no issue taking him at the 2nd round pick provided Big Cam is already off the board.

hatehiney wants us to draft a Wide Receiver with every pick we have this year.

We should trade for Claussen to play WR I'm sure.

In all seriousness though, we have Carlton Mitchell, who I actually want to see get out there some, as a project WR. Either we take a great prospect, sign a solid vet, or go with what we have I think.

I think you will see us take someone like Hankerson or another receiver in the second round.

I'd love to get Baldwin because you know he has the potential for greatness, but his attitude (and potentially work ethic) scares me.

I am sure we could trade a 2nd rounder for Troy Smith and still take a decent WR at #6, or a bomb digity TE and it would be epic.

I was going to ask if the person putting this out there was serious, but are you fucking serious?

oh wait, it's hatehineyrhabuf. I'm amazed you aren't saying the Browns should trade the entire 1st days' worth of picks for your boyfriend Clausen....

Try to trade down first. If that doesn't work Quinn or Jones. I really hope someone jumps for Newton in the first 5 picks to leave one of the studs for the Browns. I don't think they can miss with one of the 2 WR, a DL, or Peterson.

Well, given the pension for having some notoriously bad drafting with some of the teams ahead of the Browns - I'd say it's quite likely.

Not that I'm saying Cleveland has been the shinning example of hitting on draft talent.

Would there be partners for a trade down? Will some of the lower 1st round drafters get anxious for one of the top QBs? It's possible.

I just keep hearing that it's harder to trade down than you would think. I think the Browns got screwed the last time they did this and don't want a repeat of that.

I would take Quinn and not turn back. I actually prefer Quinn over Fairley and Dareus because I think we really need a DE that can rush the passer to make the 4-3 work. Plus we can grab a DT in the 2nd/3rd round as it is that deep of a draft. But rush 4-3 ends do not grow on trees and have to be taken with high picks.

Now, I wouldn't mind trading down just a few spots but it has to be a great deal.

Regarding Jones... that is who I would target if we traded down. I just see him as a Terrell Owens type, (the talent, not the headcase) remember how much he kicked ass in a west coast offense with SF & Philly? I just see Julio Jones as that type of WR for us.

Dallas could be willing to trade up to get Prince or Patterson, plus I can't rule out Washington moving up to make a splash.

And really, in any trade down I don't want to go down far. Dropping down 5-6 spots would be the most I could handle and still get an elite talent.

Kam Wimbley was brought up no too long ago, we traded down one spot, and all we got was a 6th round pick. I don't want to review how that worked out.
I think we would need to trade with someone in the back of the first round, to make it worth while.
