19/25, 243 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT

He's certainly part of the solution and not part of the problem.

Exactly.

Mangini is fired but we just don't know it yet.

And I think there's a decent chance that a DE who can rush the passer will be the Browns first pick next spring....

im not writing off cribbs just yet and im not about to call him a worthless peice of shit...dude is obviously injured and right now needs to do whats best for the team and just not play and let his 4 dislocated toes or whatever the hell it was heal...now its time to start looking at head coaches...im not a huge fan of john fox...i dont see the point of bringing in a coach who is currently coaching a team that has a worst record then the browns...obviously he has a better coaching resume and has been to a superbowl but if holmgren can get gruden then i say go for it...fox isnt under the holmgren tree like gruden and it will be interesting when mangini is fired who survives from his staff...rob ryan is the only person i can see possibly staying but now hes looking more and more likely of getting fired...but of anyone on his staff i like ryans personality and i think with a better personel on defense he could do better...but i dont see holmgren coming back to coach...he is 62 years old and altho he loves the competition, i dont know how serious he is about coaching every single day and then doing the president thing on top of it....i guess only thing left we have to look forward to these next 2 games is colt's progression and beating shittsburgh

Gruden is incredibly overrated as a coach. You bring him in if you have a ready made roster, not one that needs rebuilt. He was successful in Oakland and Tampa because he walked into a situation where he could mentor some good offensive talent and he did very well. However, as he had to maintain/retool Tampa's roster they fell apart. Good football mind/mentor...mediocre judge of talent/coach.

The year before Jon Gruden arrived in Oakland, the Raiders were playing Jeff George and David Klingler at QB en route to a 4-12 record. They went 8-8 each of the next two seasons before really taking off. Granted, with Al Davis in charge Gruden probably wasn't driving many of the player personnel decisions, but he shouldn't be asked to be in that position in Cleveland either with Holmgren and Heckert on board. In fact, if anything more than minimal input on player personnel is something that Gruden wants in his next coaching job, I think he should be looking someplace other than Cleveland. That said, I don't think he'd be a poor fit in Cleveland precisely because he shouldn't be called upon to evaluate talent outside of setting the depth chart or make to acquisitions.

Hell, I'll be happy if the next coach of the Browns simply isn't a fucking ewok or another one of Bill Belichick's mini-me's

Yes, I think Mangini is going to get fired but it will be a mistake. The guy can coach...it is just unfortunate that he doesn't have the talent or the time to make it happen. I would rather see them can Daboll and get a new OC in here than scrap the whole staff.

I don't care if Vince Lombardi or Paul Brown was here, this team doesn't have the talent or the depth to compete week in and week out. I think the team has made progress this year and has not regressed. The last two weeks have been dreadful, however I still think one more year of Mangini would be better than another rebuild.
