Jurevicius OK with not getting top billing
Saturday, November 3, 2007
By Steve Doerschuk
Repository sports writer

BEREA Joe Jurevicius is relieved his father is home and revved up about running with his old friends the Seahawks on Sunday.

Jurevicius? father spent most of the week in a Cleveland-area hospital after suffering injuries in a traffic accident. The veteran wideout missed some practice to attend to family matters.

?Obviously,? Offensive Coordinator Rob Chudzinski said Friday, ?that is a traumatic thing. Thank goodness everything is OK now.?

I'm heading over to Cleveland for the Browns game tomorrow(my first). Anyways, how is tailgating there? If I'm underage and just holding a cup, will they pester me, or could I be drinking straight from a bottle and playing drinking games and be fine?

I do not condone underage drinking. But tell your parents- of course it depends on where you are- Keep it to a cup and you should be fine. :)

Thanks. I look older(filled in facial hair), and two of the people I'll be with are over 21. I was just wondering how vigilant I should be when it comes to hiding the beer.

Conveniently leave your ID at home. If you need it for smokes, take 2 packs or something. Give them your social if they harrass you, and any charge is thrown out since you didn't give them permission to use your social to determine your age. We park in a garage downtown, damned if i could tell you more than that, and pour beer in our cups, and mosey around the car for an hour. Never had a problem yet. But I'm also 27. Go Browns!

FIVE KEYS FOR THE BROWNS Things they have to do to beat the Seahawks
By Marla Ridenour
Beacon Journal sportswriter
POSTED: 05:47 p.m. EDT, Nov 03, 2007

1. Browns receivers vs. Seahawks small corners: Browns? triple threat of Braylon Edwards (6-foot-3), Kellen Winslow (6-4) and Joe Jurevicius (6-foot-5) could have a field day against Seahawks starting cornerbacks Marcus Trufant and Kelly Jennings, both 5-foot-11. Edwards is tied for second in the league with nine touchdown receptions, and Winslow and Jurevicius have three apiece. The Browns will try to exploit this mismatch, which surely prompted Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren to say, ??They've got big receivers, a big quarterback, they've got a big team. That's going to be a challenge for us.??

Cleveland Browns' next test is to face the NFL's more successful teams

Now it's time to square off against the NFL's more successful teams
Sunday, November 04, 2007Mary Kay Cabot
Plain Dealer Reporter
It's been almost one full month since the Browns played a winning team and five weeks since they beat one.
Since that time, they've defeated the 0-8 Dolphins, had a bye week and beat the 0-8 Rams.
In fact, of their four victories this season, only one has come against a winning team -- the 4-3 Ravens in Week 4. Their other victory came against the 2-5 Bengals.

Some Browns players are having career years in first-year coordinator Rob Chudzinski's offense.

BEREA, Ohio -- The first time Ken Dorsey met Rob Chudzinski, Dorsey was a hotshot high school quarterback from northern California whom Chudzinski was trying to persuade to attend the University of Miami.
The assistant coach's pitch was anything but fancy.
"We ate over at Jack In The Box," Dorsey said with a laugh. "He's just that type of guy, down to earth. It's not a lot of flash sometimes, but it's always a lot of substance."
Substance is one of the words that comes up when people talk about Chudzinski, the Cleveland Browns' first-year offensive coordinator. Other words associated with the 39-year-old include intelligence, precision and hard work.
