Wrong glass, Sir.
I work with a guy (Clemson fan) that doesn't think Ohio State plays big boy football because...they play north of the Mason-Dixon line. Nobody tunes in to see Clemson. Bama, Ohio State, ND, TTUN, Texas, Oklahoma bring viewers. I would assume most of the viewers may be to watch these teams get beat. I have been in my current line of work for over 16 uears and lived all over the country and only recall 2 Clemson fans. Both of them within the last 2 years. I have seen more Bama, ND, OU, Texas, and TTUN fans. Hell, I see more IU fans at work (in Indiana) than Clemson fans. But yeah, Clemson moves the needle.
Clemson is this decade's lottery winner in college football. Every decade there's one of them that lucks into a good coach and some recruiting success, and thinks they can show up at the Harrow Club and fit in with the bluebloods. Ignore them long enough, and they'll get back in their new 911 Carrera and drive off to a club where they'll be accepted. Hell, SMU played that role for awhile. Anyone heard from them lately?
