Classic movies you've never seen

Do the movies you watch have the names Debbie or Long John in them.
Never mind we don't want to know.

Nope.....

I've seen quite a few on here that others haven't but I haven't seen any of those I've listed for whatever reason...

I know there has to be a couple more, but I can't think of them off the top of my head....

Please promise me that you'll watch Shawshank Redemption some time in the next month.

You won't be disappointed.

I know the title absolutely SUCKS but it's one of my top 3 movies of all-time.

Never heard one person who said they didn't like it.

I'll be honest, for the most part I don't like/watch pre-1960 films. Yes, there a few exceptions-Paths of Glory, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington-but the acting and phrasing of the actors just seems fake to me. I guess method actors like DeNiro changed my perception of acting before I considered anything else. Of that list above, I have only seen Dr. Strangelove, Psycho, and Goldfinger. I do, however, want to watch The Wild Bunch soon.
The John Huston/Humphrey Bogart classics of the 40s are all very good ...

... only the 40s though. I cannot stand The African Queen. :tongue2:

Even if you're not into old movies, I'd recommend anyone at least give the classics by Huston and Billy Wilder a chance. Wilder made some outstanding movies (Sunset Blvd., Stalag 17, Some Like it Hot, The Apartment).
