Clarett spilling the beans

MoC has put together a new "highlight real" for the NFL GMs. There's home movies of him going around to boosters and taking cash, yelling at his coaches on the sidelines, talking on a cellphone that isn't his, parking his hooptie at the WAC (only to get his stereo stolen by LI and Angello Chattams), lying to the police, lying to the media, lying to Andy Geiger, walking into court to sue the NFL, walking out of an exam, etc.

The background music is ABBA's classic "Take a chance on me"...

If you change your mind, I'm the first in line
Honey I'm still free
Take a chance on me
If you need me, let me know, gonna be around
If you've got no place to go, if you're feeling down
If you're all alone when the pretty birds have flown
Honey I'm still free
Take a chance on me
Gonna do my very best and it ain't no lie
If you put me to the test, if you let me try
...
Gonna do my very best, baby can't you see
Gotta put me to the test, take a chance on me
This guy might just fail the Wonderlick.

Relax please Relax Fellow OSU fans, this is all going to blow over soon. This is all leading up to Moc's Best Selling "Tell All" Book named "They call me Momma's Boy". It will be a vivid, tantalizing reading of how he was given a full ride to a major college that would of resulted in a huge contract with the NFL someday if he had just kept the mouth shut and listened to the adults; but that was beneith him and now how GREAT his life is, and of how thankful he is to OSU!!! It will also talk about football strategy meetings he had with Andy Geiger over tea and crumpets. Its gonna be a Great Novel. Buy it at your local Barnes and Noble near you for only $19.95!! I can't wait !!!

I hate for my first post to occur on this record thread but I have been lurking for some time and had to post my respone to ESPN on their website:

"Sammy Maldonado and Marco Cooper??" Come on ESPN, you can do better than that. Cooper never played a down at Ohio State and Maldonado never made it above 3rd string tailback before transferring to Maryland. I would have honestly expected better journalism from the National Enquirer."

I doubt they will post my response but I feel better for having said it.

I would have selected "Waterloo"
Hmm...from reading a songlist (honest!), I'd go with "Burning My Bridges" or "On And On And On".

However, I'd prefer "Move On".

i read the espn article again to make sure i read it correctly the first time.

i did.

something sticks out as odd to me. clarett says doc tressel set him up with his landscaping job. 2 paragraphs down, the article says former osu player marco cooper confirms clarett's allegations.

first he says he got cars from dealerships for signed memorabilia. What car dealership is going to give a backup linebacker that never cracked the starting lineup anything for an autograph?

He also says that he too was set up with a plush landscaping job. Now JT arrived at osu in Jan of '01. Cooper was arrested in Feb. So Doc Tressel wasnt even on staff during cooper's tenure. How does that corroborate Mo's story, unless the theory is that since the prior staff did this, the current staff is guilty as well.

from geigers presser:

GEIGER: Coach Tressel lined him up with a car from McDaniel Automotive in Marion, Ohio. It happens to be Jim Tressel's car dealer. He gets a car from that company and so do I, in fact. Maurice and his mother were supposed to show up at the car dealership or some place to make an arrangement to buy the car. They failed to show, and McDaniel, after eight or nine or 10 days, I forget what the date was, had to come down to the Woody Hayes facility and repossess the car. That's the only car that I know of that Coach Tressel had any hand in trying to arrange, and he took a hand in trying to arrange it because he knew the people at McDaniel would do it the right way, since he has a relationship with them, said to them, no favors. It has to be straight.
