Cincy 45, Pitt 44 (final)

Pitt getting some slack from the refs on this drive, after getting hosed earlier.

Safe to say, the guys in the striped shirts aren't having their best day.

I wonder if ND is watching...?

this is what you get with Brian Kelly...refusal to run the football in goal line situations and poor defense. If ND really wantes Brian Kelly, they should have never fired the fat burger.

But maybe with Stull's....

Does anyone want to keep possession?

Run the ball and run the clock Wannstache.

On the +44, with Cincy out of timeouts, it was smart for Pitt to throw it to try to get a score. But the DB sat on that corner route, it was just a bad read by Stull.

Swarbrick has said they'll look for someone with a defensive pedigree, probably for exactly what you just said. ND's offense wasn't the problem.

Way to throw your kicker under the bus on national TV Kelly :shake:. Though I guess to his credit that was a bad kick.

Agreed, dick move by Kelly. He should know what his kicker can or can't do by this point in the season enough to take responsibility for the decision himself.

I missed that quote from Swarbrick so that makes sense. I like Kelly. UC wouldn't be where they were without him and Dantonio...I just don't think he brings enough defensive mentality to the game. This will work in the Big East...not at ND.

That may be the hardest FG to make on the entire planet. That end of the field in that stadium, in these conditions? Kelly should know better.

Instead, he claims he got "tricked" by a guy who will probably be playing beer pong this time tomorrow.
