Cincinnati Reds 2023 (sell the team Bob)

Star of the game: Tejay Antone, obv. I waited all year for his return and he looked good. Difference maker.

Amazing comeback again and how sweet to break the Cubs hearts two consecutive games.

Hunter Renfroe hasn't developed the skill of hitting opposite field, apparently. But great job driving in the winning run.

Great to see Elly hitting now but he is an error machine. To be fair he didn't have much time to mature in the minors.

The injuries are getting to the point of impossible to overcome with this new COVID wave taking out 3 starting pitchers. McLain is probably done for the year with his oblique.

Keep fighting and gaining the experience. Do what you can, every day of meaningful September baseball is playing with house money as far as I am concerned.

How the fuck is Ian Crapp making $20M this year. Career .250 hitter and his best RBI total is about 72. I'm thinking the entire Reds lineup makes less than 1/3 that without Votto. Well, that's probably an overstatement with Renfroe and Bader now...

Cubs have Giants, D-backs, @D-backs, @Braves, @Milwaukee, although the latter two might be easy opponents by then because they'll probably be resting their starters. Still, much harder sched than the Reds'. Let's go Reds. Get into the playoffs over da cubs and get the last laugh.

Ian fucking happ is the epitome of annoying Cubs player. Does jack shit vs everyone else but when he plays Cincy he's Barry Bonds. I can't stand him.

Yep. For perspective, Acuna Jr. is making $17M. He was ROY in 2018, top 20 for MVP each of his first 3 years, 4-time all-star and career .290 average, better all around offensively. (And looking at the year he's having, I'll bet this is the last year of his contract, lol.)

Tommy Thrall suggested today that the Reds should figure out which restaurant Crapp prefers to eat at when in Cincinnati and make sure it's closed when he's here. Heheh, okay.
