Cincinnati Reds 2023 (sell the team Bob)

Is what it is. Proud of the boys this year for the first time that I can remember.

You can't lose McLain and 3/5 of your SP rotation this late in the season and overcome it (and let's be clear, this team wasn't built for a playoff run from get go)

Fuck the fucking ass licking Cubs and their fucking annoying ass 'I watched too much WGN while trying on my sisters clothes and blowing her boyfriends in the 80's" fan base.
Fuck the fucking Brewers
and most especially, fuck the fucking Cardinals.

I have faith in Krall. He will set this roster right and we shall unleash hell in 2024.

Go Reds

What is the world coming to when max is more optimistic about the Reds than the BucKeyes?!?

For real. I come to this thread to hear why everything the reds are doing is monkey brained.....often during a game they're winning.

Honestly I'm shocked the Reds aren't on a 10 game losing streak considering we're starting rookies and fucking relievers in 4 out of 5 games every week. Thats just ridiculous.

Add in the rest of the starting lineup is 80% rookies everyday and this team has no business even thinking about playoffs, yet here we are.

I just looked it up. D-bags payroll is about $29M more than the Reds and their top 9 earners are all payed more than Nick Senzel, which is our highest paid player. So basically their entire lineup is higher priced / much more veteran. https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/arizona-diamondbacks/payroll/

Disclaimer: Votto is at $25M this year, which is $14M more than their highest earner, but he's on the IL. And Ken Griffey Jr is making over $3M this year.

Just sayin': Yeah, and he'll get another $3.59M next year too.

Griffey joined the Reds in 2000 after he spent 11 seasons with the Mariners in his initial foray into the pros. He would play with the Reds from 2000 to 2008, when he was traded to the Chicago White Sox. With the Reds, he signed a nine-year, $112.5 million deal, and he would get deferred payment from 2009 to 2024.
