Cincinnati Reds 2023 (sell the team Bob)

So even after all the injuries and that west coast face plant, they are still in it.

A bunch of guys were put on waivers, they only cost the pro rated amount of their contracts.

If Bob doesn't spend even a million bucks to help this team win now it's going to be very hard to believe they will ever do anything. This is a new development in MLB and it's going to put owners like Bob and his idiot son on the hot spot with their fans.

There is no more bullshitting about not being able to make a deal at the deadline. It's a straight up cash deal.

1000% agree. The goodwill that comes from paying a guy like Giolito the rest of the year (win or lose) is well worth the money.

Hunter Greene "has an illness" and is being isolated from the rest of the team. Ugh, hope it's not covid.

When the Reds swept the D-backs in Cincy I thought D-bags fatigue might have helped the Reds a bit since that was the end of long road trip for them. Same here, but for the Reds this time. 5-5 was the realistic baseline goal, but they just went 2-5 against the exact teams they needed to be more like 4-3 against. And it got ugly, but I'm expecting some redemption starting on Friday. We get our Cubs killer, Votto, back Sunday or Saturday. We know he can be a beast coming back from the IL.

No wonder the Giants are somewhat struggling - their 3rd baseman is useless at the plate (except for today) and a liability in the field and, holy shit, Pederson is the worst outfielder I have ever seen play the game.

He's sick but tossed his best game since April tonight? Give it to everyone!

Ok, they got Bader and Renfroe

Tribe took all the pitchers I would have wanted so nothing they could do about that

setting my torch and pitchfork down...for now

EDIT

BTW...what the fuck Cleveland? 5 games back of Minny and hopelessly out of it for a WC and you grab all the pitchers? Cock blocking bastards.

Oh, you know that's what they were thinking in the back of their minds. "If we cant win we can at least stop the other Ohio team from winning!" Fuckers

Cubs' $17.5M gamble on Bellinger sure paid off. Reds would never do that.

The only reason I think they might finish with a .500 record is just the weakness of their remaining schedule. But 12 wins will still be hard for these guys, despite that it's just the Twinkies, Tigers, Guardians, Cards, Pirates, Mets, Mariners.

Way to kick off the big homestand, Reds.

I was shocked we pulled more outfielders off the waiver wire with the way Martini had played and Fraley coming back. Crazy to think it's EDLC not holding up out of all the rookies. Golden Sombrero tonight. Woof
