He was a solid reliever until his wife had a baby and he went on a bender or something to celebrate. That was two years ago I believe. Or was it that they tied the knot; I'm not sure... I just remember he partied in the middle of the season like he was Tom Brady after winning a super bowl and still hasn't recovered.

He'd still be a solid reliever imo. He's being asked to do something he can't do (start).
I think it's just a matter of time until the call up Abbott. He's dominating with a capital D. On a similar note, a lot of the youngsters are pushing for a call up. If I wasn't so used to the failure, it would be exciting times as a bunch of new, young (actually) talented players make their debuts.

100% Friedl and India are damn good young ball players and there's others showing signs but alas, you already mentioned the probable outcome.
