Cincinnati Bengals (Same Ole Bengals)

Can’t say any of these surprise me. Think Moss, Patrick, P. Williams, Bachie, Henderson, Chrisman, Jordan, Jones, Sutherland, and Vogel all go to practice squad if they aren’t claimed.

Happy for Mitchell Wilcox. Undrafted rookie FA from last year really performed well in the preseason and has good blocking ability.

Agreed mostly, except Jordan and Moss...Jordan was at some point competing to start, but it seems he faded at some point this year. Moss looked pretty damn good and I wonder how he got the cut to be honest.

I believe it came down to Moss's inability to block and be an effective special teams player. If you’re going to occupy the 3rd string TE spot, you’ve got to be able to contribute on special teams. Here’s a tweet breaking down their grades on ST in the preseason:

Small sample size from Wilcox, but the coaches had to have liked what they saw in his versatility.

I don’t want to blame it on me sitting on my butt the whole year, but it probably had something to do with it, of course,” Chase said. “There’s a bigger ball adjustment, so I don’t want to make excuses but I’ve just got to be a pro and make the catch.”

Just sayin': Maybe he actually identified the real reason.....:roll1:

Seems like all the players that sat out a year are taking a licking trying to shake the rust off. Might break that trend. As for Chase, I'm sure he'll pull it together eventually but I didn't touch him with a 10 foot pole in fantasy for this year.
