Cincinnati Bengals (Same Ole Bengals)

You don’t even think twice about it. The LB they want won’t be available, so I would rather go QB if he’s there. If not, maybe Hockensen if he’s there at 11? Or trade down for Greedy Williams or an OL. Those would be my preferences.

Would be good with any of those options. I'd be totally fine trading up to get one of the elite LBs at this point too, we've neglected that position so badly and the gap is enormous there. I would also be good with Ed Oliver if he somehow slips to 11, I think he's the next big time DT and would be a huge value. If Haskins is somehow there, you take him and never look back. How anyone feels he's outside the top 10 is beyond me. Even if somehow he doesn't pan out, that's a pick with mass appeal that the fans will be behind and bucks status quo of losing big games.

The above being said, I just have this inevitable feeling we're going to reach on Devin Bush because you know, it's us.

Can’t be too upset about the pick. Half of the OL was still a massive dumpster fire.

I’m content, but still bummed. We’ve now had opportunities to draft Marshon Lattimore, Malik Hooker, Mike Thomas, and Dwayne Haskins. All of which would’ve been huge upgrades to the roster. Ugh.

In a vacuum, it’s not a bad pick. But, in the real world, the opportunity to move on from a loser at the most important position in football fell into their lap and they passed. Not good.

Jay Gruden is going to have a field day turning Haskins into a top 5 QB.

His offense made Dalton look halfway competent.

In a sense, I am happy for Dwayne that he did not end up end in Cincy. And we needed help in a bad way on the OL and Williams is versatile, so its not a bad pick at all. But we did pass on a franchise QB that could have fell into our lap, so it is hard to be real excited about this result honestly. And we passed on Christian Wilkins and Dexter Lawrence in a DT-rich class, so not really excited about that either. But Williams is a decent pick and there is no doubt we need the help at OL.

Side note: For once, I am happy the Steelers took away our ability to draft the player we likely wanted in Bush.

mahomes and watson bookended Lattimore too ( as the 3 picks after cinci, hooker a few after that) but there was a speedy slotdot to be had instead.

Since I have nothing better to do, I’ve compiled a list of realistic options for the Bengals Day 3 picks.

QB:
Ryan Finley (was the only QB the Bengals interviewed)

RB:
Bryce Love (could be a great compliment to both Mixon and Bernard)
Mike Weber
Rodney Anderson
Elijah Holyfield
Benny Snell

WR:
Riley Ridley
Hakeem Butler
Dillon Mitchell*
Greg Dortch*
Johnnie Dixon
Stanley Morgan Jr
Jaylen Smith

* are who I want the most out of this group. (Shoutout BPCFFB with that Dortch name drop )

TE:
Isaac Nauta
(still wouldn’t mind taking an additional TE with the shitload of picks)

OG:
Michael Jordan
Ross Pierschbacher
Beau Benzschawel

DE:
Austin Bryant

Only DE I want them to draft.

DT:
Armon Watts
Isaiah Buggs
Chris Slayton

CB:
Amani Oruwariye
Kendall Sheffield
Iman Marshall

One of these three could make some solid upgrades to the middle of the CB depth chart.

Safety:
Amani Hooker (get him quickly)
Jojo McIntosh
John Battle (could be an absolute steal)

Amani Hooker is probably the player I’d like to see drafted the most. He could provide another ball hawking safety to play alongside Bates, and it allows Williams to shift into that Bullet position that’s taking the league by storm. All in all, if we don’t draft at least 3-4 of the guys listed above... Well, that probably means I won’t be getting a GM gig anytime soon, but there’s still some seriously talented players available that could be immediate upgrades to their respective positions.

Sorry for my walloftext. Carry on.
