Cincinnati Bengals (Same Ole Bengals)

Funny, I figured that hiring Hue was the straw what got Marvin kicked out.:slappy:

Maybe it was, and outside of the Rooney rule, I don’t see any reason Hue gets an interview. Hell, he’s probably still only on the staff because they’re going to use him to circumvent the rule. You can’t oust the guy and then pretend the interview holds any merit, and I’ve seen some pretty flimsy, meritless interviews to bypass that rule. Give him an “interview” and then hire a real candidate. I haven’t even seen where Hue was getting that “interview,” just Marvin giving his endorsement. All that aside, it would be awesome if Hue got the job. Simply awesome.

No way the league will accept an interview with Hue Jackson as a fulfilling the Rooney Rule. Him and Haley are going to have a hard time getting a position coach job in the XFL after the shit show with the Browns this year. Might as well interview the homeless guy with the golden voice for the Rooney Rule. That would have as much merit as Hue.

They accepted Oakland’s “interview” with Tee Martin.

It’s been time to let him go for 6 years now. We know.

It also doesn’t help that up until this season we are stuck with an owner that doesn’t like to pay players what they’re worth. Here’s to hoping Mikey sees the light soon, or he hires a GM.

Also, replace Redmond and Hart. Both absolutely fucking suck.

Money paid to players and coaches is money that doesn't go into the Brown Family Trust Fund

Finally able to announce the hire of Zac Taylor. I’m pretty content with the hire. Not sure if it’s a home run, but it’s a step in the right direction. Get a completely fresh staff in place, and hope this team can develop a bit of discipline. Anything would have been considered a decent hire outside of Hue Jackson. Guy can coach up and offense, but he just doesn’t have what it takes to be a Head Coach.

Here’s to hoping they give Zac similar freedom in selecting players in the draft, as I have no faith in Mike Brown making anything resembling a competent pick.

As QB, Zac Taylor took my Nebraska Cornhuskers to a Big 12 championship game under Bill Callahan.

Just let that sink in for a minute....

Took Nebraska to a CG.......under.....Bill.....Callahan.

Anybody that does that gets my props for realz.

More importantly, he has a younger brother that is the QB coach in Philly. I'd imagine that he's gonna poach his bro from Peterson.

Maybe he can get Dalton back to top 10 level of production. Need a better RG and RT, injury bug to not crush the offense, and a LB/CB overhaul. A defense creating havoc and getting turnovers makes Dalton’s and the offense’s job much easier. Looking forward to seeing what he can provide.

I like the hire, about the best we could have done and I see some promise there. It was a bold pick, but at least it's not Hue Jackson or someone who has already proved they can't win in the NFL. I too hope he gets some freedom to run his show and Brown stays the hell out of any decision making. I am at least intrigued heading into the season.
