Report: Cincinnati Bengals narrow DC search to Florida’s Todd Grantham



Making him attractive to the Bengals, Grantham has extensive experience at the pro level in general and the AFC North specifically.

From 1999-2009, Grantham spent time on four NFL coaching staffs, including the Cleveland Browns as defensive coordinator (2005-07). The other stops were as defensive line coach with the Dallas Cowboys (2008-09), Houston Texans (2002-04) and Indianapolis Colts (1999-2001).

Since the last NFL stop, Grantham has served as the coordinator at Florida (2018), Mississippi State (2017), Louisville (2014-16) and Georgia (2010-13).

Bengals running back Mark Walton arrested in Miami on battery charge

Walton got in an argument with a couple at his Miami condo, according to police

Cincinnati Bengals running back Mark Walton was arrested sometime late Friday night or early Saturday morning and has been charged with one count of misdemeanor battery. Walton, according to multiple reports citing police in Miami-Date County, got in an argument with a couple at his condo parking lot.



The details of the altercation, via the Miami Herald:

Police said Walton's car was obstructing the entrance to the building's parking garage. Another couple in a car trying to get into the garage asked him to move the car and an argument ensued.

The woman started recording Walton with her cellphone camera and he grew angry and snatched the phone from her, according to a police spokeswoman. He and the woman got into a tussle, both suffering scratches in the altercation, police said.

The Bengals continue to be a beacon of hope in their community...at least they both suffered scratches, sounds like a fair fight.

Giants coach Lou Anarumo named Bengals DC

The Cincinnati Bengals have hired New York Giants defensive backs coach Lou Anarumo as their defensive coordinator.

Before working for New York last season, Anarumo was defensive backs coach for the Dolphins from 2012-17.

Anarumo was also the Dolphins' interim defensive coordinator in 2015 due to midseason firings. Bengals coach Zac Taylor and Anarumo worked on the Dolphins staff together from 2012-15.

Cleveland hires a competent GM with a plan to build the team.

Cincinnati continues with the dated owner/GM bullshit with Mike Brown, and overpays CJ Uzomah (his contract puts him in the top 15 for TEs....) and Bobby fucking Hart who was easily the worst tackle in the league last year.

Fucking hell. I’ve never awaited a death so eagerly quite like awaiting Mike Brown’s death...
