Yeah, the run defense was basically non-existent all night.I only saw some of the first quarter. The pass defense looked good. But it looked like TB was running at will. Not used to that.
Livvy Dunne right up on the top story eh? Don't worry, me too.I kinda like these.
Always did love Ok State when they wore black over orange.

In my minds she is always on top…Livvy Dunne right up on the top story eh? Don't worry, me too.
Got around to watching the preseason game and there's not much you can take away from these games really other than individual performances. Burton certainly looks promising and maybe our steal of the draft, time will tell but he looks good out there. #45 (Wisconsin UDFA at LB) really flashed to me. Higgins had a really slick TD and looks invested despite the whole contract dispute, hopefully he goes and earns what he thinks he is worth this season. Run defense got gashed repeatedly but the hodgepodge of defensive players makes it tough to tell if that will be an issue. Burrow looks 100% and slinging it, no discussion needed there.
Sample is straight garbage and needs cut, seriously...lets roll with Hudson and All. Sample is supposed to be a blocking TE and he can't even do that, and we know he is not a receiving threat so just cut bait there after what was a terrible pick. I am often wrong on draft picks but that is one I actually called as being a bad one and we stuck with it for too long.
At least we got some glimpses into some of the new players and at least we got to watch some football.
And the Bears kept pretty much their whole #1 offense in in the first half according to the what the radio guys were saying over halftime. Their #1 QB played the whole half, if not mistaken.Sample was just resigned so he's not going anywhere soon.
None of our D-line starters played so I wouldn't get too bent out of shape over the run defense yet.
Here's what I want:
LOIC specifically faulting senior university leadership (Ono)
Games forfeited and B1G championships stripped, NC stripped
Roster/Scholarships lowered to 90 (from the new limit of 105) for next three years
Three year post-season ban
One year suspension and multiple year show cause for Sharrone
Here's what I'll be satisfied with:
LOIC specifically faulting senior university leadership (Ono) (this one's non-negotiable)
Games vacated and 21-22 B1G championships stripped
Roster/Scholarships lowered to 95 for next two years
Two year post-season ban
4 game suspension for Sharrone
And yet our 2nd string defense forced three 3 and outs the first few times the Bears had the ball. And the Bears kept pretty much their whole #1 offense in in the first half according to the what the radio guys were saying over halftime. Their #1 QB played the whole half, if not mistaken.
I feel like the only hanging point in the negotiations is guaranteed amount and the fact that he has 2 years left on his contract wouldn’t set a great precedent for the rest of the league. I would much rather they have a tentative agreement now, subject to change if another top WR (I’m not sure there are many due a new contract) gets paid in the next 12 months. But I think it’s fair to say it’s not a matter of if with Ja’Marr, it’s when the deal gets done. No way they piss off their franchise QB by not paying a second top tier WR in the span of a few years.Any estimates for Chase's contract now that CeeDee Lamb has agreed to 4 years/$136 million with $100 million guaranteed?
Literally everyone except our staff, I about smashed my glass on the floor after that pick. Glad we finally came to our senses, eventually you have to cut your losses on bad decisions even though it should have never been made.Great draft.
Who could have seen it?
Maybe everyone?
