Cincinnati Bearcats (official thread)

I did not watch the game last night because I have a pretty sick 9 year old whose fever we can't seem to break...but it sounded like it was a typical UC game under Cronin where the offense looked like it was designed by a 3rd grader and/or the walrus .

I only watched the second half and I can't remember seeing so little hustle out of a basketball team in all my life. On 'O', The Bearcats were sauntering up the court like they were strutting around the mall or something. If they try that shit against the Bucks, I expect Craft to force more than a few turnovers...

Glad your daughter is on the mend. :)

I too watched the second half only. What I saw was a combination of a schoolyard game (totally undisciplined) and an NBA game (half assed and no intensity until the last five minutes).

Oh yeah, fuck the juggalos.

I did want to update everyone since a few of you mentioned it in the greenies.....

my 9 year old daughter is doing better. She was diagnosed with pneumonia and is at home resting with antibiotics and couch time. The prognosis is excellent and I thank all of you for the concern.

:oh:

:io:

Glad she's doing better.

Someone posted earlier about the Cattitude coming back. It certainly has here in Dayton.

Cattitude?? Really? :slappy:

But I haven't seen Craft against Wrights speed before, or have I seen Craft defend isolations as much.

So now they are SEC types saying speed will cause a match-up problem for Craft. They don't want Craft in isolation on their PG, and this shows how little they know about OSU basketball.

Plenty of "I don't care about Ohio, I am Cincy all the way" crap as well. One poster even said the inevitable "Cincy should be its own soveriegn state" or something.

I hope the Buckeyes play like they did against Gonzaga and not let up at all.

Win it by 1 point or 100, I don't care, just send those naked kittens back to the Covington, KY, area.

they all seem to accept it as fact that Ohio State publicly announced they were afraid of playing Cinci. what's the real version of that story?

We decided to elevate our program with OOC games against teams like Kansas and Duke rather than help Cincinnati elevate theirs by playing us, and Fredo doesn't like it.

OSU did not like getting beat in the NC 2 years in a row back int he 60s.

Damon Flint incident

Huggy Bear and Geiger were not the best of friends, and Geiger didn't like the thugs on the UC teams of that era.

O'Brien didn't want to schedule them for fear of being 2nd fiddle in the state if OSU got beat by them (during the UC golden years of Huggins)

From what I can remember, it was pretty much on OSU's side why there have not been more match ups.

I don't care if OSU never plays them again after this. I can not stand that commuter school or their juggalo "fans".

I've been thinking of something for the past week or so. December 16th, 2006. We're playing with a team Mick basically had to recruit from the MEAC pool over a 2 week span in the spring, and Ohio State has the Greg Oden dream team. So of course that coward Matta decides to play us then. They dominate us 42-14 over the first half, and Matta is jumping and pumping his fist running into the locker room like they've just won the flippin Super Bowl. For me, that's a microcosm of the kind of person Thad Matta really is, and what Ohio State is all about.

:slappy:

So Ohio State is all about crushing them with a vastly superior team and then being happy about it.

No wonder they hate us so much.
