No it was pretty much the wins and the wins only. Those "fans" will dwindle once the wins aren't in abundance.

i dont think we will need to refurbish nippert with holtz. the 35,000 seats will be plenty.

Mardy Story > Rudy Story

I loved the movie Rudy . The story about a Notre Dame backup making one sack in his last game. He battled to make something of his life and avoid the coal mines .

But let me tell you about a guy I once knew from the University of Cincinnati. His name is Mardy , Mardy Gilyard. This is a story about a man who will never give up. A man who faced adversity early on at the Clifton Campus. Living out of his car and working three jobs to keep his dream alive. Rudy lived in a freaking locker room (nice and cozy). All Mardy did was battle game after game on the way to a 12-0 season. Leaders lead when you need them to lead. They don?t turn and run from a challenge and they finish what they started. The final chapter of this story will be written New Years Day and it will be a glorious day.

The players have every right to be upset, but those idiot fans (not all of them, H&G:wink2:) need to just stop.

Wonder why people outside of the area call it Cincitucky? It is becasue of these types of antics we are reading about. I believe the lunatic fringe of WVU did the same type of things to DickRod when he left, and we all know how sophisticated they (that portion of the WVU fanbase) are.

Be mad at him all you want, post negative comments about the man in your forum(s), but once you cross that line and do things like egg a person's house, then you deserve the type of stigma that goes with it.

Actually, I was glad to see that some posters on that site were admonishing the act as well as those posters that supported such nonsense.

You had a good run, but like all good things, they must come to an end. Sorry UC, I have no sympathy for what has taken place with your now former coach leaving for a much better job. Get over it and move on.
