Cincinnati Bearcats (Juggalos official thread of Faygo)

There was speculation the Cincinnati Bearcatsmight get a full share of TV revenue from the Big 12 in their first year of conference membership, but that won't be the case.

After four current Pac-12 teams – Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State and Utah – decided to move to the Big 12 starting in 2024, they were granted full shares of the conference's TV deal. That led to speculation the Bearcats, UCF, Houston and BYU might also get full shares immediately, but the conference put that speculation to rest with the following statement Wednesday:

The two-year revenue distribution phase-ins for BYU, Cincinnati, Houston and UCF remain unchanged by the Big 12’s expansion to 16 members.

I know its against EKU, but still a heck of an offensive output.

Jones threw five touchdown passes and ran for two more scores as Cincinnati opened its first season in the Big 12 Conference with a 66-13 rout of FCS-member Eastern Kentucky on Saturday.

Jones started 10-for-10 for 206 yards before throwing his first incompletion. He finishes 19 of 23 for 345 yards, his second career 300-yard passing game. He threw for 464 in that 70-52 win over Samford in 2021.

EKU and Samford

Jones can do well against those types of teams. Can he do well against P5 opponents?
Well, two years ago the Bearcat's QB Desmond Ridder outplayed Penix of Indiana (now the starter for U Wash.) and turned Kelly's face purple in South Bend. So yeah. Sometimes. Kinda like the kid from NIU that rushed for over 3 hundred yards against the Buckeyes.

Talking about Jones specifically, not g5 players in general.

Ridder is on an nfl roster

Emory Jones won’t ever be on one

I've never seen a mid-major fanbase that becomes obsessed with rooting for a former coach to fail other than these mongoloids. They've done it with everybody: Kelley, the guy after Kelly and now Cronin and Fickell. I guess when a successful coach leaves them for a better job, it shatters their delusions about where they sit on the food chain.

Well, if you lived in a town where the pro football and baseball teams were happy with jus short of mediocrity for long stretches, where the university enabled an alcoholic basketball coach to hang around, and where Tommy Tubervill took pay checks under false pretenses of actually working, you might understand where that tweet came from.

On the one hand, it was only one game. On the other, Miami was the weakest opponent left on our schedule, so losing to them doesn’t bode well for the rest of the season.

That being said, there were several games against Miami under Fickle we should have lost, but got lucky and won. So, a little too early to be calling for heads.

I think Cincinnati was maybe picking up a little momentum after beating Pitt, who was seen as a decent team coming into the season.

Now that notion is even gone as Pitt is looking like not a good team at all.
