Also, is it just me, or does Luke Fickell at Cinci sort of resemble Luke Wilson in Idiocracy?

I'm not just talking about in the sense that a competent, normal person was surrounded by total idiots (while true), but do they sort of look alike a little?

I'm not saying their dead ringers, but maybe just a slight resemblance?

Fickell leaving them for Wiscy was hilarious. After he turned down Sparty, they were 100% certain that the only jobs he would leave for were Ohio State and Notre Dame. When ND fell through only because the domers were so arrogant as to think that Fickell would abandon his team before their playoff game, they naturally read that as he turned down Notre Dame to stay at Juggalo State.

Wiscy comes calling, and they rationalized everything from "Wisconsin would be a lateral move" to "there's no good Catholic schools in Madison." Then he pulls the rug out from under their Faygo swilling asses and heads to Madison. Great move.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that their game against Pitt is going to be on the CW. BIG. TIME.

I'll also say that Marcus Freeman should have paid closer attention to his boss in how to finesse and respectfully relate to your alma mater and the school that gave you your break coaching. As much as it would have been red meat to that imbecilic fanbase, Fickell never said a bad word about Ohio State when he was coaching the juggalos.

Bolded, I agree. I think UC money matched UW. For Fickell, growing up in Ohio as an OSU fan, player, and coach, I felt he had a desire to prove his worth in the B10. Despite objective evidence to the contrary, many in this region cling to the belief it's the best football conference.

Maybe he felt taking UC to the CFP and an undefeated season couldn't be replicated in the Big 12. We'll never know. Onward and upward with Coach Satt.

He will pay the price for his lack of vision. With no more B10 divisions to give him an easy path in the West, Michigan back on top and USC coming in, good luck sniffing the BTCG. To get an at-large bid he'll need to finish no worse than 4h. Let's see, there's Michigan, OSU, PSU and USC. Plus one or two of MSU, Iowa and Minnesota will usually be competitive for those 4th through 6th spots.

UC will be back in the playoffs before Wisconsin ever sniffs a bid.

This is just me talking, but I kinda felt it was awkward for Fickell to take a lesser Ohio school to the CFP, while his beloved Buckeyes watched on tv. There was a part oh him just didn’t want that.

Juggalos have been hitting the Faygo pretty hard.

I've never seen a mid-major fanbase that becomes obsessed with rooting for a former coach to fail other than these mongoloids. They've done it with everybody: Kelley, the guy after Kelly and now Cronin and Fickell. I guess when a successful coach leaves them for a better job, it shatters their delusions about where they sit on the food chain.
Well, there’s a case to be made for Tommy Tubervill. He’s setting records in the Senate.
