Surely this doesn't compare to those who "manufactured" data that got us into this war and led to 3000 young Americans losing their lives and thousands crippled? Not to mention the $100 billion dollars lost.

Again, once you can prove that intel was manufactured or that there was any actual intent to deceive, we might be able to better address such concerns. Until then the rest of us would appreciate it if you'd appropriately discuss what was provided in this thread and quit the deflectionary BS. If you can't do that, then you have no need to post in this thread.

You see, the difference between such cases is that the intel used by Bush and company was believed to be true on a global scale, it just turned out to be inaccurate. This other instance apparently involves the story of a soldier that was fabricated from the beginning, and was never vetted. I trust you can see, and furthermore, understand the difference between such scenarios.

To make up a story about what is happening in Iraq?
Or.
To lie about the cause of a war that will kill thousands of Americans?

No more games Taos. Until you can prove there was a lie (again, emphasis on intent to deceive) regarding the start of the war, focus on the actual topic of this thread. That is the proper perspective.

Please read BS's post above. It clearly states that being mislead by bad intelligence is not a lie. Taos, your "broken record" responses are growing rather tiresome......

I would agree that we shouldn't be over in Iraq but Bush did not lie. He and most of the world's leaders were fed faulty information.....

If it's Faux News, then he was sent on vacation.
If you prefer SeeBS, then he's simply vacationing by his own choice.
If you prefer Al Jazeera, then he is quite possibly, the greatest martyr to ever walk this Earth, and we're all bad people for isolating ourselves from his superior concepts.

I was telling him how to post in this forum, as it's my responsibility to do so, and has been since this forum's inception. His ban was not due to my simply banning him because I disagreed with what he said, but rather it was the effect of his receiving a 10 point infraction for not following forum rules.

So where do you think the other 90 points of infractions he received came from? Well, it's very likely that he's received infractions for other violations that he's previously committed, and likely weren't all doled out by card-carrying members of the vast right-wing conspiracy.

The simple point here, is that he has been given plenty of opportunities to post here, and has received much guidance as to how he should post. This post was not the first like this and I doubt it will be his last. If you don't like the rules here, you are not required to post here either. But, as I've previously made clear to you, this forum is different than other forums.

Posters here get a great deal of leniency as to what topics they can discuss, and even how they can discuss them. He is welcome to make all of his conspiratorial claims that he'd like to, within their proper threads. This is not one of those such threads. This thread is about a phony soldier story. It does not have anything to do with the reasons as to why the war may have been started, rather it is about false tales as to things which allegedly occurred during the war.

So, I hope you can now see that his problem arose with his refusal to comply to forum rules, and not with simple regards as to what he was saying.

Edit: I think I'm going to split this off of the thread soon, so if anyone has any last comments, please add them now.
