http://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-...l-americans-dioubate-back-on-table-evans-willNow, the rub: If Michigan wants to keep Evans, I would bet a donut that visit never happens. While Evans, at one time, considered Ohio State his "dream school" the idea of flipping to between these two schools this late in the process is a bit hard to swallow. If Michigan wants to keep Evans, and right now that seems to be the case, they're likely to apply a bit of pressure to make sure he doesn't take the trip to Columbus or risk being left in the cold. If they think they can shuffle their own deck and come out ahead by leaving Evans behind, Ohio State could very well see him next week.
I wouldn't necessarily agree with that. I don't think a few DB offers went out at the same time that 3 DBs early enrolled is a coincidence. My guess is that the coaching staff figured there would be 1-2 guys leaving early, but with 3 they now A) have an additional spot(s) in the class as a whole and B) have a stronger need in the secondary in the class.Probably sold to him we treated him like a 2nd rate player... which you can't argue.
Heard he said something about sticking around at ttun and being a champion. Haven't seen any of those up there in a long time. In all seriousness, he took some time to think about other schools, but you got to go where your heart tells you. Should do fine.FWIW,

#Michigan commit Chris Evans says no to Ohio State: http://michigan.247sports.com/Bolt/Four-star-RB-Evans-staying-loyal-to-Michigan-42655813…
Apparently not for this kid. Obviously he feels differently.Sorry but if OSU was my dream school and I wasn't offered I sure in heck wouldn't go to Scum. If you are really ingrained with OSU, you may go to Indiana or Minny or even MSU giving you a chance to show the OSU coaching staff that you can play. That way you get to play OSU every year but not tarnish your love for OSU by going to TSUN.
Fans too often put themselves in recruits shoes which is kind of crazy because you're looking at this scenario as a fan and this recruit is looking at his decision in what's best for his life, whether getting to the NFL, life after football, major for education, early PT, etc. Very few if any high level recruits look at the biggest decision of their lives in the same view point as fans. And we can only respect that. Enjoy your time at scUM Chris, and enjoy thos L's the Buckeyes will put on you annuallySorry but if OSU was my dream school and I wasn't offered I sure in heck wouldn't go to Scum. Running back Chris Evans will not play for Michigan this season
Michigan running back Chris Evans, suspended earlier in the year by the university because of an academic issue, hasn’t been a member of the football team since then and will not be with the Wolverines this fall.
Evans had appealed the decision to the university hoping to have it cut from one year to a half year, which would allow him to play football this fall, but that hasn’t happened.
“Chris Evans is suspended for the year,” Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh told The Detroit News on Sunday after speaking at the Best of the Midwest football camp at Grand Valley State.
The decision was made by the university, not the football program.
Harbaugh had said at the start of spring practice there was a chance Evans could work his way back. Evans, no longer enrolled at Michigan and, obviously, no longer on a football scholarship, told The News in March the issue was “an academic mistake. Not my grades. I’m on pace to graduate.”
Evans had taken a job at an Ann Arbor restaurant delivering take-out orders and was working out at Xplosive Performance Academy in Southfield to stay in shape. He wrote an eight-page letter to the university to appeal the decision.
“What would I do?” Evans said, when asked in March if the university does not shorten the suspension. “Keep doing what I’m doing. As soon as I get back, I’m ready. It’s not like I won’t ever be able to play again, I’m just playing the waiting game.
“It’s hard, but in my case a lot of people don’t have the mental ability to withstand what I’m going through right now. My parents countless times told me, ‘Just come home and you can figure it out.’ I wanted to stay up here, make sure I got a job, just to show them I’m serious about it. I just want to finish what I started. I’m big on loyalty, especially like just through the whole process of me committing to Michigan and then getting offered by Ohio State late, I’m just keeping the commitment to them. And just showing my commitment still. Loyalty is the first thing.”
Evans told The News that after the one-year suspension he can rejoin the university and team in January 2020.

"Mr. Loyality" apparently screwed up his chances to go 0-2 this season.
